Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan) back in the recording studio

Well, if Kaiden is in it's either LI only (plus EDI, for some reason) or squad dialogue. If it's LI only, then that includes Tali, Garrus, Ashley & Liara (plus Jack & Miranda). That only leaves out Vega & Javik from your squad (one of whom is DLC). You could just get them back as well, or you could do "squad dialogue" without them. If there is new Earth-based gameplay squad dialogue, then I doubt you'd notice (or really care) if neither Javik and Vega said anything each time you played through that section (especially since you might not have them with you).
But I can't see where adding Earth-based squad dialogue is going to add 'clarification' or 'closure', except in a scene explaining how the squad gets back on the Normandy. And perhaps a scene showing them rescuing Shepard off the Citdael in the best 'destroy' ending, or something like that. I can't see them adding anything new to the pre-base combat, or the base dialogue, or the push to the beam (unless they add new scenes showing war assets in action and squad comments on this). And your squad is absent in all the scenes on the Citadel.
So I'd say it's probably (from most likely):
* Scenes explaining squad's prescence on Normandy and whether they were abandoning Shepard.
* Dialogue for epilogue scenes showing fates of characters.
* Possible comments on possible new scenes involving war assets.
What I find interesting is that Sbarge said he didn't expect to be called back. Hope that doesn't mean they weren't planning on doing any squad VO for the other DLC that they were planning. Maybe he just assumed they wouldn't call back because they never did on past DLC. Whatever the case, if you're getting everyone back to record why not record for the other stuff you've got planned as well?
Or maybe it was just an illfitting Carlito's Way reference.

Really?? I was just thinking earlier today how his voice kinda pigeonholed him into "dogged nice guy" roles, at least to me. I have a hard time seeing that voice connected with a villain character... O_o
No he did, I remember that. It was Criminal Minds or Law & Order: Eternal Variant Spinoff #3423 or something like that.
I also remember he played a creepy government agent in Lie to Me. Funny how in one of the few times I watch TV, Sbarge appears in two seperate shows being a creepy jerk.
Stop giving Sbarge creepy roles, TV! Stop it!
I vaguely remember that he was in Star Trek: Voyager for a few episodes. Betrayed the entire crew to the Kazon and got them all stranded on a deserted planet. And he was actually slightly creepy in that role too.

Since I see that you have Wieśka in your av and I didn't play TW1 or TW2, may I ask how did CDP handled Enhancement Editions for both games? Were they re-recording dialogues/scenes and/or adding some new for existing characters? If yes, did they brought all original actors or did some get completly replaced?JL81 wrote...
Interesting. I did not expect Bioware to actually ask voice actors to record more lines. The extended cut may end up being more significant than I thought... not that it changes a lot, because the ending is still crap.
Yes they added a ton of additional dialogue for W1, as for 2, i haven't played the 2.0 version yet (massive DL) but a friend who has says they've stuffed in hours of extra stuff.
Edit. They've also decided to make ALL DLC free, they have usurped BW as my fav devs

They added over 5 hours of extra content. New monsters, new quests, new weapons, revised ending, etc. Even a barber shop for people who wanted more customization.
It's like a 10 GB download for PC. All for free, of course.
Witcher 2's ending situation was pretty similar to Mass Effect 3's, but CDP took care of it, and more.
What was that quote from an interview with CDP..."When we do something wrong, we fix it" or something along those lines.

Lol I imagine in the Extended Cut that they find Shepard alive, and while everyone is celebrating their victory against the Reapers, Kaidan approaches Shepard and says:
- I don't know Shepard... I'm still not sure you're not with Cerberus...
That would be awesome
Actually, he's ask her to marry him if they've been together since the beginning.

And no mention of artistic integrity, gotta love an attitude like that
@IsaacShep: to clarify the major chars (ur char and the other major NPCs all had same VA, some of the very minor VAs had their new dialogue lines in a different voice which jarred a bit, but to be honest the majority of the Voice work in W1 sucked majorly. (W2 however had mainly excellent VA)

he's not as prolific as Jennifer Hale, but he works quite a bit nontheless.

I'm not sure why people get so excited over this kind of stuff.
They're your squad members, it should be obvious that they're going to go back and do more recording, Extended Cut or not. What, did you guys not expect there to be any DLC ever?
^This It seems that people have forgotten the ending of "shepard is now a legend, buy DLC to continue the story!!"
