I will add to this that console gamers not connected to the internet are not able to register their ME3 and so cannot post on the technical support boards and so would be excluded from this discussion if limited to thereRavennus wrote...
EDIT: I wasn't going to bother explaining further, as the reasons many of us are upset should be quite obvious at this point (yes, even those of us that actually play multiplayer), but I'll just re-post something I said in another thread....Ravennus wrote...
I actually like Multiplayer as well, but that's not the point.
Hell, when the Extended Cut is finally released I probably will have long moved on from Multiplayer, so does that mean I don't deserve the highest achievable ending even though I imported, completed every quest, scanned every planet, and handled every situation as ideal as possible?
What about those who don't have an internet connection, or even a reliable one?
What about those who don't want to pay for Xbox Live?
What about those that don't like multiplayer, even after giving it a try?
What about when the servers are shut down?
What all the promises that were made pre-release?
This could have been a minor issue that they easily (and happily) resolved to our thanks and satisfaction... oh, a month and a half ago.
Instead, they decided to handle the situation so poorly that they've lost future costumers because of it. So sad.
BIOWARE?? Y U NO FIX GALACTIC READINESS AND EMS????

Moreover, I brought the game and thus should be able to access the ending(s) without having to spend more money on ios apps.

I should probably thank Bioware, though. I've been getting a lot more done without time-consumptive RPG's to play.

What's sad is this should have been an easy fix. All it would have taken was a few tweaks to the war asset values. Just add 50-100 points to a handful of war assets, and problem solved. This should have been taken care of in the first patch.

Indeed. As far as I know, all it would take is an adjustment in the coalesced.bin file.... you know, the exact same thing they've been doing to push through Multiplayer balance changes without actually requiring a title update each time.

I assumed that I would want to pre-order ME3. As I saw how Bioware was operating (DA2, primarily) I abandonded that idea, but I figured I'd probably pick it up at launch (most of the pre-order content is easy to get early on). It now appears as though I'm going to drop both games right in the middle of the series. I might conceivably pick the games up in the far, distant future, when the prices crash. (Or I might get used copies to ensure that Bioware doesn't get any money from me.) It has been entertaining to watch Bioware play its fanbase over the past few years. Of course, it's a pretty ugly fanbase to try to please.

Umm.... glad we could help you make an informed decision? I guess?
Though the 'ugly fanbase' comment seems somewhat backhanded, so 'not sure if serious'....
Good news though.... if you are waiting for a price drop, you can already find the game brand new for as low as $30.
I know it's going for that at Walmart up here in Canada.

It's certain that a coalesced.bin fix would work. People have done it. A fair number of pirated copies already come that way, which is why when someone posts that he got 8000 WA points he almost always turns out not to have the game registered.

Also, it doesn't take very long at all to get your readiness up to like 75% which is all you would ever need.

Even if the ending is crap, this game feature to link multiplayer to singleplayer content is horrible.
They are forcing us to try multiplayer becouse next bioware titles will have the vast majority of content MP, or will be MP only.
And the fact they go on denying this and locking down all threads mentioning this feature is complete fraud.
Waiting for lockdown on this thread too...

You mean they've patched the MP so it will never go back down? Oh wait, they haven't. Another poster who completely misses the point. We should not be forced to play MP to see all the content in the SP side of a game. That is a fundamental no-no.

Alot seem to be making the mistake of assuming this wasn't intentional, it's working as expected. The decision was made to force muliplayer upon everyone, in order to insure that used game buyers couldn't avoid buying an Online Pass.
This should be obvious by virtue of the fact that Bioware kept a blatant lie stickied to the top of the board for weeks, chose not to post on a single thread about the problem, refuses to acknowledge it, and made no changes in the first patch.
EA wants this to go away, because this is actionable since their blatantly false statements would directly affect a purchasing decision. Hence, they pretend the issue doesn't exist.

Yes, what drives me crazy is not this horrible game feature, but that they told us plain LIES.
They removed their sticky out of shame and never commenting anymore on this aspect.
One thing is to keep an "artistic integrity" (LOLS), another thing is TELLING LIES to customers.

I wonder if a random "server hiccup" will "accidently" remove it from the FAQ as well....

I've never confirmed this, and it may not be fair. The registration system here is stupid, and there are legitimate users who are unable to register their copy.AlanC9 wrote...

There are hacks for things like changing the FOV or the running speed or changing the controls or opening up some of the guns or outfits, etc., and some of these downloads also include changes that aren't advertised (and at least one common one also doubles all the war asset values).
So it's not that the game was pirated; it's just that the user downloaded a hacked Coalesced.bin that contained changes they weren't necessarily aware of.
But yes, all the values are set up in one of the INI files. BioWare could adjust them at their leisure (and I fully expect them to, in addition to possibly considering a raise of the default readiness and adding new assets through future DLC). They had better.

The 'best ending' is still crap so it really doesn't matter.
I wouldn't mind figuring out how to manually tweak the TMS (on pc) to put it on 8-10k just before the point of no return so I do not have to play multiplayer again though. In case I ever play ME3 a 2nd time.
Gibbed for ME3 is you're answer, you'll find in in the pc tech forum or use google. You can add points to your TMS (and thus the EMS) using that. I really don't like multi-player, so that's how I got around this problem.
