Brutes, like Banshees and Atlas, do not have any "weak spots" per se. Banshees take the same damage no matter where you hit them, Atlas take some extra damage if/when you destroy their protective plates, and Brutes take reduced damage if you hit their armor plates, and severely reduced damage if you hit their honking huge arm.

Semantics, but their weak spots are the spots not covered by armour.

Same difference, really. :P

I'd really love to see a chart for how quickly certain builds can drop certain mobs solo, I might work on something like that at some point... be interested to see just where this ranks.

That would be awesome.

If you do decide to work on that, tell me, I'll help you out.

Thanks mate. I'll PM you or chat over Origin when you're on next.

Why do you take damage at rank 6 of proxy mine ?

Proxy mines are only useful for the stagger/debuff, so "increase recharge speed by 40%" is more valuable IMO.

I was literally just consideing this after discussing the Turian in thread with GP... how strange...

You're right, the debuff is the /entire/ point of this power. It makes much more sense to take recharge over damage.

psshh I've been doing this since last week when I got the hurricane. I did respec and take out the last 2 fitness upgrades for 4 points in concussive shot. It helps a lot because it's the only way to lock onto a target. PM might miss and the hurricane can be tough to aim on some targets. Also a CC on a target with heath puts their **** on the floor so you can unleash a bullet storm and PM on them without getting shot. Good guide though nice tips!

I prefer the headshot bonus on Marksman, if for no other reason than to skip duration. A shorter duration provides me the opportunity to lay down another stagger mine that much quicker if things are getting hairy. Other than that I employ the same build.

I've been running this with Headshot damage for the last few days instead of Duration, and I agree compeltley. Updating build.

how viable is this build still after the removal of headshot damage on primes and atlas'? this still a good build with just a hurricane? or dya think you might need to rock something like a talon as well?

Really? Isn't Marksman used in this build only to take down boss enemies like Atlases or Brutes? So, with an amazing RoF, the most damaging SMG in the game and with 150-170 rounds shootable per magazine, wouldn't you like to spray and pray constantly for 10 sec. at a big enemy from a safe mid-range position instead of having an anti-infarty mine ready faster? I know, 7.80 sec. is about 10.20 sec. but... Why not?
