The only thing more ridiculous and scientifically impossible than quarian/human children is a green wave of energy turning everybody in the galaxy half-synthetic. Thankfully Bioware has the good sense to not put that into the... oh...

Apparently not.

Biotics and Asari reproduction at least are given a psuedo-scientific explanation that allows the player to suspend disbelief and accept them as possible, no matter how far fetched. In Sci FI we are able to accept the far fetched or implausible so long as the writers are able to make them seem plausible for that universe. We accept biotics and Asari reproduction because both tie into the fictional element Eezo. With the addition of eezo, some rules of the Mass Effect universe are different than ours.

Wholly unrelated species being able to produce viable offpsring by any natural means could not be explained in a similar matter, because it is simply impossible. There isn't any possible explanation that Bioware would come up with that would allow anyone even the most basic understanding of biology, to suspend disbelief.

I didn't attack the OP. I only explained; please read through my post and tell me where I called the OP stupid. The only person I called stupid and ignorant is yourself. Your "They can have babies, get over it" argument tells me how stuck up you are.

Quarians are a dextroprotein race like the Turians. Humans and Asari are made up of levoproteins. Different DNA means it is impossible to have a child without genetic modification. Turians can in theory however.

No they can't, the same way Drell cannot have offsping with Krogans

Any earth animal is levo too, doesn't mean a human-sheep intercourse could produce offspring.

In theory means that-if all/most other things lined up-of course chromosome number among other things effect the ability to reproduce. A horse can reproduce with a donkey because it has a similar pair of chromosomes and and in theory it should be able to reproduce with something like a camel but i can't due to other natural restrictions...

A horse and a donkey can reproduce because they're very close species.....Turians and Quarians aren't related at all

That we know of ever notice how all the alien species except the Asari have two fingers and a thumb and two toes and a back toe for lack of a better word?

I feel very confident saying no, however throw in a pinch of space magic :wizard: and anything is possible.

That must mean that they're related to humans.

Turians and Humans both have two eyes; that doesn't makes them compatible

No they can't they developed on completely different planets, the only similarity is dextro amino acids, same with humans different planets and to make it even more impossible they have opposite amino acid chirality.

That how it works if you are so stubborn as to want children with Tali (or Garrus or Thane for that matter) you were missing a huge part of what those characters were and what they entailed as a romatic choice in the games.

And no imagination and fiction is not an excuse fro qumans , works of fiction follow internal rules of logic and in the case of ME internal rules means that such a thing can't happen, the only exception is asari and thats because the children doesnt uses the genes of the couple, just of one.

It depends on what you consider the Mass Effect universe to be.
If it's a science fiction universe then no, since of the tenets for any sci fi story is a basis on established laws of nature.  While conjecture is allowable, it is still dependent upon proven facts.
Science fantasy takes all of that and throws it out the window by adding a scientific rationale to any impossible variant and rendering it possible.
So OP, if you prefer the fantasy slant?  Then yes, they could have children.  If you prefer the science fiction? Then no, they couldn't.

Is it possible in ME3 universe to quarian and human have a childrens? Both races are almost same, but (not good compare, i know) if donkey and horse breed they can have children, and they are other species. i know this doneky/horse can have no children. so what about Quarian and Humans?  genetic is enough advanced to allow breed them?

i just want to know, becouse i think a lot about possible Shepard/Tali childrens :)

//sorry weak english :)

You are more likely to sire a child if you **** a donkey than if you screwed Tali.

Yeah, pretty much. Humans and quarians may be superficially similar in appearance, but genetically, a human would have more in common with a tree.

In all seriousness, why would you want to sire hybrids that would be ostracized their entire lives? There are plenty of war orphans in need of a place to call home.

If you made peace with the Quarians and Geth and managed to have children with Tali somehow I doubt your kids would be Ostracized the child or children of Commander Shepard and Tali'Zorah the couple who gave the quarians back their home and saved the galaxy from the Reapers the kids would be like Harry Potter.

Sadly quarians and human are genetically incapable of having children.

It's be far less enjoyable though. Unless you're really into donkeys, in which case...  good for you, I guess?

Pardon?  Have you looked at her hands or her legs?  Quarians may have superficially similar facial structures, but they most certainly don't look like humans.

I think there was some comment from Grunt about Quarian spines being better protected than human ones also, but I don't recall exactly.

Sapient life as they like to use a lot in these games just means they have humanoid characteristics like they walk upright and have Opposable thumbs etc etc

Many bacteria look exactly the same under a microscope or even gram staining, but DNA analysis will show they're entirely different.

It's this topic above all others that almost makes me sad that chose Tali as a LI in my games. Almost.

Human/Quarian children are not possible. Study some biology.

while a quarian/ human child is definatly not possible, apparently the only hybrid offspring that is even remotely possible is human/ batarian....
