"Cheating refers to an immoral way of achieving a goal."

"Another form of video game cheating is when a player does things unforeseen by the programmers to permit changes to the way enemies are encountered (or objectives met). This could be through means of a "Hack" where altered game files are substituted for the normal files, or image graphics changed to permit greater visibility of the targets, etc.

Another type of cheat would be an exploit cheat where an advantage is gained through an unintended game exploit, such as skipping a weapon reload timer by quickly switching weapons back and forth without actually reloading the weapons. Generally speaking, there is often some concern that this is not truly cheating, as it is the fault of the programmers that such an exploit exists in the first place. However, technically, as with live sports, it is cheating if the player is not playing the game in a formally approved manner, breaking unwritten rules. In some cases, this behavior is directly prohibited by the Terms of Service of the game."

And this is why you deserve all the cookies on the planet.

you are taking this way to personal and I'm still waiting for an answer as to who it hurts until you can prove to me that it hurts affects someone other than the person doing it your point is invalid

So I'm right, FBWGG is a form of exploit and thus cheating?
According to that link anyway, but it is ok because the programmers didn't do their job properly?

Sounds like a cop out.
Back to card analogy "I saw this card on the ground and used it because by leaving it there, intentionally or unintentionally, the owner gave it to me to do with how I saw fit, so I bought all the things"

Logic level: Broken.

some people would call that oportunistic (think I spelled that wrong) doesn't mean I like it but different point of view FBWGG is getting a little common but there are plenty of ways to never even see that combo the fact remains that if you dont want to glitch/exploit you can play and never meet anyone that does I play a lot and I've only been offered to once didn't accept but it's that simple if you dont want to don't no one will make you

Oooooohhh! I found MOAR exploits! Biotic explosions! Charge and nova! Cloak! Hunter Mode! Whatever projectiles are shot from the weapons! My controller! My thumbs! ... Etc.

Now, I just poking fun :) don't get upset... But I really find no point to argue whether or not they get banned/reset. It's wrong, got it... Fix it, move on to next issue.

Wow at people comparing finding stuff on the ground to exploiting a bug in a game... There's no comparison. They are two separate things and that arguement won't lead anywhere.

Assuming that the more money EA makes on adding additional content, they'll make even more content.

Personally, I like new content. Specially if it's added for free. The more money EA makes on adding free content, more free content will be added. People buy packs when free content arrives to get the content faster or for whatever reason they see fit to spend their money on packs.

Reasons why it is wrong to credit glitch BESIDES the fact that it is a bug, taking advantage of a bug is called exploiting a bug, which is wrong. That's common sense.

But those who refuse common sense, here's logic:

1. People won't buy packs with real money if they know they can exploit a bug to get the packs.
2. People won't buy packs with real money if they know others are getting them by exploiting a bug to get the packs.
3. The more people who exploit the bug, the fewer will spend money on packs exponentially.
4. If everybody exploits the bug, noone will spend real money.

Thus reducing EAs income from packs, ensuring fewer content releases will be added and/or makes sure that content will have a price tag / higher price tag.

But none of this matters, analogy or assumptions, arguements and what not. It all boils down to a bug, and people exploiting that bug for their own personal gain. Irrelevant of how it harms the community or game, it's still the wrong thing to do. Don't you agree?

You can disagree with anything, you can even think that murdering innocent children is an ok thing to do. Thats why we have rules, and you agreed with the rules to play the game. And the rules says that it's wrong to intentionally exploit a bug for your own personal gain.

The penalty would reflect the severity of the crime/rules. The only reason I can think of why EA/BW isn't reacting the way they should is because it's difficult for them to target the players who do this.

Just because you can get away with breaking the rules / committing a crime, doesn't make it okay.

But by all means, do continue to credit glitch, murder some babies and use someone elses credit card if you can get away with it. You do know whats right and wrong, intentionally doing the wrong thing makes you a bad person. And I don't appreciate bad people.

Shame on you, naughty boy.

Edit: Sorry for grammar / spelling errors, I don't proof read what I write on the internet. :innocent:

Another one.

This... as for the OP, agreed 100%. It really is mind boggling how a legit player could actually be cool with it enough to DEFEND them.

obviously it does or nobody would and Iv'e already said i don't/won't cheat in a multiplayer games cause I wouldn't want someone to do it to me but in this case the people who do don't affect me AT ALL therefore I don't care let them do it I'll be over in another lobby playing the way I want to

They have one thing in common: They are both wrong.

I'm not argueing the reasons, logic or results. But I guess you didn't read the post but wanted to segment the post like a troll.

shock value? Who cares. I could've written anything, murdering babies was the first thing that came to mind :P

Edit: I think you match the profile the OP is talking about, I find that entertaining.

While I don't know every person who runs the glitch the all of the ones I do know still buy packs as well. Most them infact had their all their weapons (save for N7's), mods and characters maxed before they even heard of it. They are also of the people I know who spend the most as well.

I don't care about credit glitchers at all. You know why? Because this is a co-op mode. If someone uses a glitch to get an "unfair advantage" then that only benefits you since you now have a team mate with vastly superior guns. Also I applaud the credit glitchers because this store system blows and is an obvious cash grab mechanic put in place to pray upon gamers that just want to experience all the weapons and classes the game has to offer. If someone finds a way to better avoid the bull**** system in place, more power to them. It's kind of like protesting or something.

And before you accuse me of credit glitching you can go right ahead and look at my manifest and see that I don't have **** unlocked so far.

uhh did you just contradict yourself you're not arguing by arguing me thinks monty python would love you
and first thing that came to mind wtf is wrong with that statement I can't even comprehend the amount of things that you could've replaced that with but again you wanted shock value which once again gets you nowhere in a arguement come back when you have a valid point to stand on

You 'obviously' care enough to come on the forum and defend their actions. If us "complaining" about cheaters bugs you, why not just move on and find another thread?

Sometimes I really think my posts go unnoticed.... But again, no point to argue whether right.or wrong.... It is wrong... But have BW just fix the glitch and move on to the next issue.

Don't waste time or manpower to try and hunt dowm the people who did the glitch. There a plenty of other things those resources could be working on... Like perhaps a way for me to purchase items I actually want for a higher price than a cost of the random packs... That's an excellent way of making money because a generalized audience would be more inclined to throw money at the screen if they know what they are gonna get.

I don't either, but I know a couple of people who has spent money and feel bad about it after finding out of the glitch. They won't spend any more money cause of it. And I also know people who won't spend any money at all cause of it. So I know that EA would've made more money if the bug didn't exist / people weren't exploiting it.

How much money we are talking about is impossible to know.

From the people I've met most of them don't really want to spend the time it takes on the glitch and lose out on actual playing when they can just drop a few $100 and get what they want much faster.

Maybe I should've drawn a big line, like this to separate the post so you can wrap your mind around it:
___________________________________________________________________________________

I wasn't after shock value, I was after something that was obviously wrong. Something, that most people can easily agree with is wrong. If I wanted shock value, I would've written something MUCH worse.

If you lack the intelligence to understand it, you're not the reader I was targeting with my post so please ignore it and move on.

I FOUND ANOTHER EXPLOIT! MICROTRANSACTIONS! :D.... No, seriously... Awesome business plan... Gone wrong though. MT's are ok... In moderation. But the demon in this video (he who shall not be named) wants to take it to a whole 'nother level that you and I can't afford. That which he speaks about as "charging" .... is in fact exploiting the consumers investment in the game.... I just gave my self a whole new outlook on this credit glitch.... Whoa... Still not gonna do it... But I will say good job glitchers for stickin' it to da man.

It is not cheating.
It is called "using the resources available to you at any given time"

If you don't like it then quit your whining because it does not effect you.
Enjoy the game and quit been a sour puss.
