DAO: "Unable to access your online profile..."

Good day gentlemen,

I just installed DAO a few days ago and I'm still having this silly problem.. where despite using the same login (email) as my ORIGIN account.
the game still INSISTS that my account is not correct..

the full error is "Unable to access your online profile storage. The account information provided may be invalid"


Steps I did:

A) Update to the latest DAO version (1.05)
B)  Contact EA customer support.. (after being told to wait a long, to try again.. and they not being clear at all...their english was horrible and sometimes awfully broken)
they literally told me to "ask in the forum"

Note how they instantly they use a canned answer to hide the fact they have NO IDEA what is going on, and then they ask me to FIND SUPPORT WITH OTHER USERS..

and of course this problem is NOT gameplay /mechanics related..
I just want my profiles,characters, archievements..etc.. to appear correctly in my profile!


also the enfuriating part is, all the guys I tried to get help.. either hanged on me ( Ie, closed the chat on my face) or left me waiting... OR they have horrible english that makes it hard to understand.

Anyway the interesting part of the game is.. when you click on the ONLINE PROFILE...it sends me to a broken url that says "PROFILE NOT FOUND;
The requested player does not have any Dragon Age data uploaded.

Update.. another person recommended me to open an email ticket.. just shows how GODDAMN USELESS ORIGIN CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS..

after asking me for screenshots.. they came with the "CONTACT BIOWARE" solution and closed my ticket.

okey, they keep insisting that I contact "socil.bioware.com"

anyone can tell me how to specifically open a trouble ticket for BIOWARE?

because these guys are utter and completely useless.

I'm a little confused at what you are trying to do. Are you wanting to view your DA:O profile here on the BSN?

Not exactly,

I'm trying to make my profiles, characters..etc.. appear.
Nothing is uploaded.

It looks like DAO is broken.. trying to upload to an incorrect profile (even when both accounts use the same origin login/email/account )


Can I PM you the screenshots to show the error?

Try changing your password to just be letters and numbers. We are thinking DA:O might not handle more "advanced" passwords.

Hu, my password is just letters and numbers. I do not have a fancy superhard password.

should I still try to change my password on my origin account or what?

Update, Changed passwords, all the websites took the update correctly.. BUT..
dragon age is still repeating the same error..

"Unable to access your online profile storage. The account information provided may be invalid"

Still cannot see my characters online, nor see my screenshots, nor attain achievements..

DAO:UE here, I have the same problem. Achievements get uploaded right away to my profile, but none of my chars are uploaded yet. Trying to upload screenshots manually or chars with the Character Editor fails with "Unable to access your online profile storage. The account information provided may be invalid". But all my credentials are right, I am logged on to the server. Also, when I click on "Online Profile" in DAO, it opens a site here at BSN, where it says my profile could not be found. Ironically, under said message is a button which leads to my DAO profile. It's really messed up. I just want my characters to appear on my profile, so that I can use them as my avatar :(

This is kinda annoying as its been days (and weeks since I've been having this issue and getting sent to hell by the chat reps..) and still not resolved.. even when Jesse reviewed the issue and he could reproduce it on his end.

I really hope it will be solved eventually, I have this problem since I have the game, and thus haven't got any character on my online profile which I can use as an avatar:(

I've never been able to get the profiles on BSN working either. I have DAO:UE on Steam. I just get an Error code 1000 when I use the diagnostic tool. And in game, it tells me exactly what you're seeing too -- that the information is incorrect, even though it isn't. Can't upload characters, screenshots, etc. But achievements upload just fine, which makes it all the stranger.
