Well in DA:O not only am i forced to play an evil character to get most of the achievements but my character is also forced into homosexual relationships?
Have you tried a female character instead? Zevran isn't gay or straight. He was raised by Antivan prostitutes and just likes sex overall.

May I suggest that, perhaps, not all achievements are meant to be achieved by everyone?
May I, in fact, suggest that Alistair is also necessary to romance for a certain achievement and that you won't get him either with that attitude?
Just sayin', self-analysis is a lifelong skill.

playing a female character doesn't appeal to me
Suck it up and move on then. The game was not made to suit you and only you. Your not forced into anything and the achievemets have no impact on the game.

That would be the case. We're not "forcing" anyone to get every achievement in the game, but if someone feels inclined to get all of them then yes -- they'll have to figure out ways to get all the permutations. But that's their business.Danakir wrote...

Indeed. You'd need to be a female character to romance Alistair.May I, in fact, suggest that Alistair is also necessary to romance for a certain achievement and that you won't get him either with that attitude?
Anyhow. Good luck with that!

All of the achievements I've unlocked were playing as a righteous goody-two-shoes type, so most of the achievements are rewarded by playing the game except where you choose sides or the class specific ones.
It seems you fail to comprehend that this is a ROLE PLAYING game, your character isn't you unless you decide it to be, so the variety of achievements are to promote multiple playthroughs as different characters of different classes with differing personalities

if it bothers you that much, i suggest saving right before major decisions using the [esc] menu, play it through the way you wouldn't normally, unlock your achievement, quick-save, and reload the save from the [esc] triggered menu to play it through the way you prefer. you'll still have the achievement nonetheless.

Wait.
This game has ACHIEVEMENTS?! Oh, that's it! That's the final straw! Bioware, I demand a full refund for the entire game and the DLC. This kind of bullhockery of guiding the player along to act like a dog for treats and medals is frankly BENEATH me and I will NOT allow you to cowtail me into playing after your tune!
YOU HEAR ME BIOWARE? I AM NOT A SHOW-DOG! I AM A PITBULL!

Sheesh, what is the big deal. They are only achievements. Its not like they actually mean anything.
But... But... Everyone knows that the more achievements you have, the better endowed you are, and the more irresistable women find you!
That or your a low-down dirty cheat who added them through the console.

I'd totally do Wynne. Now if there was a super-secret and difficult path through the dialogue options (like you'd have to ****** her off to -90, then she gets the hots for you), and you got an achievement for that, well, that'd be an achievement I could live with.
