Bioware begs to differ with you...once again. since it is thier game , that pretty much makes you the one legged man in the arse kicking contest here.

If this was called the XP glitch, you might have a valid point. It's not though. It's called the credit glitch. This is like if thers was a glitch to get you infinite credits in SWTOR and you said it's not an exploit because it doesn't level you up. It's stupid.

LOL at how many people have reported me for cheating.   My account has been vetted.  I do not cheat.  Disproved AS I AM STILL HERE.  Having an opinion on a matter does not require that you participate in said matter, and trying to defame the person you are debating is not debating at all, it's flaming and The Moderators have explicitly warned against that in this very thread.   Accusing someone of cheating with no proof is defamation and a violation of forum policy

I believe vast majority to be on overstatement.  Unless of course some actual glitchers would like to get on here and let us know why they do it, IT IS SPECULATION.   The only universal method of guaging any player against another player is N7, since not every gamer has a BSN account/player manifest.   So unless they are willing to step forward and say they do it for the credits, the only way it's an exploit is if they are improving their n7 with said credits.  

Therefore, unless the glitchers come forward with their intents, it is reasonable to assume they do it ultimately for the xp.

It not a feature. Its an error in coding that wasnt caught during production. Can it be fixed? Yes! The problem is sorting through billions of codes just to find this 1 particular thread thats causing it. It takes alot of time. Just because things like the credit glitch are found does that mean you should abuse it. No!  You think Infinity Ward intentionally put the damage glitch in MW3. Or EA putting areas on the maps in BF3 where you can get into walls and kill people without getting killed. How about when Bungie had kid using action replay to mod on Halo 2. Oh wait you think all these are ok. Its cheating because all those extra character cards that your unlocking from your UNEARNED credits are boosting your N7 rank therefore taking away legit players spot on the leaderboard. If I had it my way I would perma-ban your IP from the Mass Effect servers so you just couldnt play online anymore. Get rid of the cheaters and everybody gets to have an enjoyable gaming session.

Yes, that's an extremely reasonable viewpoint with a stretch.  You are presenting a viewpoint that i believe to be disingenuous if you believe most are doing it for the xp.  In the times I have seen people plan for it, they are always excited about how many credits they can earn.  

Your statement appears to be that since N7 is the only measurable metric, and we cannot prove they are doing it for the credits, they are thus doing it for the xp, which is what allows them to raise the measurable metric.  This is the part i believe to be disingenuous.

I will agree that it is speculation on why they do it, however it has been addressed as cheating.  Some people do not like cheaters.  Personally, I just choose not to engage in the credit glitch but I have no problem with anyone else doing so as long as I am aware that is their intent.  That way, I can leave and allow them to play with like minded individuals with similiar goals.

The OP is purely informational.   It was never meant to establish a motive for these actions.  Simply a mathematical breakdown, so that players have a reference.

Just because you care about N7 rank doesn't mean everybody else does. Sure, I've met people who do care about the XP, but they were far in between the guys who are only in it for the credits. Me and my friends only do gold runs for the credits, as I believe most others do too. They want to bigger and better guns so they can show them off or just have more fun using them. I played with a guy once who did the credit glitch, and he was proud that he did it, for the credits. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out that they just want credits.

Here's the problem:

In the program, the field that marks the next wave isn't reset until the next wave actually begins. This allows for a wave 10 credit completion/wipe and a restart before wave 1 begins on the next match, thereby starting at wave 10 over and over.

The fix:

The field that marks the next wave is set at the end of the previous wave. Also, if the mission is ever failed. The wave automatically resets to 1 immediately.

This thread is not about the validity of the exploit.  It is a breakdown of the math.  Some in the community are attempting to warp the soul of it, but the fact remains.  This thread is not a debate about whether it's against TOS, it has "glitch" in the title for chr*sts sake.   IT IS AN INFORMATIONAL POST.  Not a query about the morality or legitimacy of the glitch.  I state that very clearly in the OP.   People who don't glitch have a RIGHT to know what they are up against, and that is all the post states.  The math.  Please stay on topic.
