credits are just as arbitrary as N7 ranking.  It is a preference.  I happen to play for xp and to progress my N7 rating, as there is really no other way to guage progress.

Even if all you care about is xp and your N7 rating, abusing the credit exploit still allows exploiters to buy more packs, which give huge boosts to XP instantly from character cards and should STILL be deplorable, from your perspective. Plus people exploiting it will jump way ahead of you in N7 ranking, and you'll never have any chance of catching up. I think your credit glitch defense needs a little more preparation and logic twisting before it'll fool anyone.

Lol, semantics.

OP, your logic is wrong. If a person can buy packs faster due to exploiting the glitch, then they can achieve a better arsenal faster, which equals faster progress.

N7 rank isn't the only measure of progress.

"Game over"

Yet it is the only one tracked universally by Bioware whether you make a BSN account or not.  I'd say you are dead wrong.  The only way another player can see another players weapons is to play in a match with them, or hope they have set up a BSN account and linked their tag.  That is hardly indicitive of progress.   Say what you want, XP and N7 are the standards by which you are guaged as set forth by EA.  Not you, me or anyone else in the community as we did not program the game or design the leaderboard.  Just because you don't care about rank doesn't mean many others don't.

It's math.  Numbers.  Saying xp doesn't matter does not change the math.  The numbers don't lie, though many in this community do.

If people wanna credit glitch go ahead, I really couldn't care less. In reality it takes longer to do than what you wrote in the OP and it's also extremely boring to do for more than a few rounds in a row. If they can manage to stand doing that for hours on end more power to them.....

if the store wasn't so crap then you wouldn't have people resorting to stuff like this.

I ask you. When we mention our progress on the forums, what do people check, the mans place on the leader boards, or their multiplayer manifest weapons page?
Do you want to be able to boot up ME 3 SP and immediately be able to get the worst three endings if you started priority earth with 50% galactic readiness?
SPOILERS ASDGFDSDSASDD
I mean, Everyone dieing is so much more touching then what 5000 EMS actually awards IMO...
I should co-m.... Arrive.?:wizard:

If EA decides what YOU can and can't consider progress, that's all fine and dandy.

But the leaderboard means virtually nothing, you're deluded to think otherwise. Given the number of hackers and boosters that crowd up the leaderboard, most people really only care about the progress of their own weapons. So that's how they measure progress.

And, as I said earlier, if someone else can get better weapons faster because of the exploit, then they are unfairly progressing faster.

Credit "Glitching" does not interfere with my playing the game how I want to play it. The N7 rating means nothing to me except that you probably have crap weapons if your N7 rating is low. Which does not matter for most builds anyway. If you have a 20 N7 and a level 20 AA, then it all comes down to how well you play the game.

How, I just got a funcitonal new toy that I did not have before, how is that Arbitrary? Only about as Arbitrary as playing a video game, or posting on a developers forums in face of the bigger picture of your life. Or caring greatly about a number over considerably more tangible things.

If you want to go that route then fine.

Why do you play this game?

It doesn't gain you anything in life.

It's all just ARBITRARY entertainment.

So why do you play this game TC?

My point.  Why get down on someone for "exploiting" if it is all arbitrary?  My point.

I can't say it was in my intention to get down on someone for exploiting in the first place.

I just found it highly illogical that you were using XP as a means of comparison in your original post when mass amounts of XP is relatively worhtless to the bulk of the ME3 community looking to obtain something great.

Hey guys, my math shows me that it can actually be a little harder or more time-consuming to cheat your way into and through medical school than if you just study and learn how to actually practice medicine. So if you only care about getting a degree like I do, there's no reason to prevent cheating or academic dishonesty. The money/jobs/benefits/people's safety/titles are all arbitrary, so you can't argue with my math. Case closed.

Grenade, for someone who is at your level of progress, perhaps your points may hold some validity, but to this community as a whole, they ring hollow.
We still have the joy of finding new items in front of us, you surpassed that a long time ago. While few will start looking at those scores regardless, maybe there will be a day where there will be others who will hear you out.

Lets cut this thread before it becomes a existential debate.

Neither exist outside of the game, therefore they are equally arbitrary.  Your preference does not dictate what any other player seeks to gain from his experience.
