EDIT: Vivanto posted the same theory while I was posting this reply Posted Image. So now it's at least a two persons theory Posted Image

Well, for whatever it's worth, I did experience it, so not just a theory:

Scenario 1) Logged in, servers screwed, connect manually, no resurgence stuff
Scenario 2) After several repeated attempts, managed to log in properly and authorize DLC, resurgence characters present.. played 2 matches and now I'm here. :wizard:

So you proved I was right Posted Image This means everyone will get their characters back when the issue will be fixed...

Also can't connect - as "an unknown error has occurred." See that there's a nice "can't access your account" option, clicking this leads to "SERVICE ERROR."

So who's genius idea was to make it so people can't play SP if your server screws up?

Somebody will no doubt get promoted because of this. Future head of EA is in charge of the EA servers!

Arg! It's stupid, as others have mentioned I can't even play single player either. Once I get my Achieves 100% in ME3 I'm sanitising my Origin acount and refuse to buy any game that requires some level of online authentication via a 3rd party. If that means Bioware games will become unplayable then so be it, the only thing I can hope for is that I will be one of so many that EA stop pulling this crapolla.

Xbox - UK.

And... attempting to change your password leads to "there was a problem communicating with the forget password service.  Please try again later."

PC - Vancouver, Canada.  Hopefully no one riots...

Ok two times down these week i don't think EA\\Bioware has done something wrong from their part. There is only one logical explanation hackers. We are witnessing a DoS attack . Damn those people have nothing better to do .

Wow, can't even play single player. Appalling. Steam will always be number 1 if you make stupid mistakes like this EA. Step it up.

I'm not the person who usually whine about things on SBN, but when we can't play SP because of the EA servers it's an epic fail. It's not ok at all..

Is there some error message? I can load SP all right and I even see promotional weapons...

Yeah, hate that too. I was getting error messages in Dragon Age: Origins when my connection was down.

PC, also can't connect. Saw someone mentioning taking a screenshot of their mp manifest, thought it sounded like a good idea - now it's asking me to confirm my password before syncing my data.

Scared to touch it

I've got a screenshot of my manifest right here.

You know, I can understand that EA might struggle to reach the same sort of competence as, say, Bungie, with their servers. I mean, it's not like they're a massive publisher with huge budgets and resources, and it's not like they publish many games with online multiplayer, right?

But a system where development end server issues designed to run a game's additional feature mean I can't play any of a 30+ hour single player RPG that I (perhaps foolishly, in hindsight) shelled out a whopping £70 for is pant-wettingly retarded.

And yes, I know I could just unplug my xbox and play offline, but in age where games are frequently requiring online verification, how does punishing me for having a connection make any damn sense?

Nice going EA. Really going the extra mile to fix that reputation of yours, huh?

So, we've all been locked out of games that we paid for.

Fun, this.

Awww. It got me to now.
PS3: Europe

It appears if you log out of multiplayer for whatever reason it will not let you log back in now.
Also if you want to play SP go back to XMB/dahboard, sign out, load game, then sign back in.

BUT DO NOT CLICK ON MULTIPLAYER or you will be stuck in an infinite connection/DLC loop.

Same here. I'm really starting to get tired of this crap. First I'm not able to play for 2 days because of the online pass issue, and now this? Hope it won't ask for an online pass once this server issue is fixed.

I'm not usually one to complain, but damn it, this is just stupid, it's the third day in a row I'm unable to play.

You can still play single-player if you don't own From Ashes. Just play in offline mode.

Is it so hard just to keep a server going? Jesus Christ

It's been down more than up this week
