Stroud in DA3

That said his VA was in Origins too, and he is a bit of a blank slate character wise; maybe it would actually be easier to use him again, just have him assigned to [DA3 location], though without really knowing anything about the story other than it probably won't be about darkspawn I don't know what part he (or any warden) could play.. *shrug*

No spoilers allowed so hope you know about them. Thought them to be cliffhangers for the next installment.
And as stated before; new characters (warden or whatever) as companions for DA3.

think of the loose ends in DA2 regarding the wardens?
This is the primary reason for my thinking Stroud will make a return in DA3. Stroud isn't a NPC who has some small side-quest that is resolved and insignificant. He is in a leadership position in the Grey Wardens while they are on their secret mission in the Free Marches. I don't think the writers would have deliberately introduced the character Stroud and his mission, just to play a bit role. I expect that mission is going to be significant in the future and I wouldn't be surprised if Stroud is still involved.
As others have said, another reason for thinking Stroud might be a companion is because we saw a "Grey Warden" and "Seeker" templates in that presentation by Mike Laidlaw.

The whole warden thing intrigues me. Started a thread myself on them a few weeks ago regarding their role in DA3. BUT Stroud is assigned to specific duties I think. Suspect to meet him in DA3 regarding those, but not as a companion. This companion will be another grey warden/seeker? that knows him in a quest involving the story line/unanswered questions I think.

It does depend on where the next game is set, but if DA really is about the world I'd prefer the world not feel so small.

I'm sure what he was alluding to will be important down the line, I just don't see him being the one there when it happens, he can't be the only competent warden.

BW stated that the world will be bigger. Smaller than Kirkwall and surroundings is almost impossible
Oh, and BW also said that it would be something more 'french'........................
And I am confident that there are a lot of competent wardens in Thedas. My gut tells me we will get to meet some of them.

Sorry, but I have it on good authority, that what the Wardens were doing in Kirkwall was just a hazing ritual, for new Warden plebes. I believe they were about to pick up a few kegs of ale, and then head out to the wilderness to dance naked in the moonlight.

Oh? And did one of those kegs contain certain documents?
(Who Stroud read while the other wardens were dancing naked in the moonlight.....)

I spent a few years at journalism school....thats where I learned my investigative reporting style. And as to your last question, we all know the Wardens have a complex heirarchy. Here is some footage of a coupe of the Warden's reporting to a top officer. www.youtube.com/watch

I would imagine something like this:

Wardens of the Anderfells take their jobs very seriously

And Cassandra would look great in it in black
