Are we supposed to be locked out of all our DLC if EA's server is down or not?

I'm just not clear on this one. ME3 servers are down, so when I start ME3, all my DLC gets locked down. In other words, I can only play the vanilla game and can't resume any of my started games.

Is this the intended way for the game to act? I thought some posts a loong time ago indicated that we'd only need to authenticate stuff once for single player?

I really envy the pirates right now...

Set Origin to Offline, then it works.

In order for that to work, you have to have connected to the ME3 servers first, and then go offline. Once you shut down your computer (not hiberate or sleep), you have to reconnect to the ME3 server before you can go play offline mode.

I'm almost at the point where I will deinstall the friggin DLC to be able to play offline and without connection to the EA servers. This is such an annoyance!

Exit the game and exit Origin, then disconnect from any network you're on. Pull out the cable or disable the network card if you have to. Then start up Origin again (it will be in offline mode) and start ME3. Your DLCs should work. You can load your old games, but starting a new career won't have them enabled, for some reason. While playing, you can alt-tab and reconnect to your network if you need to.

You have to set Origin in offline mode AND make sure your computer is not connected to the internet.
