**I have added and changed a few things to the main post after playing with this class for a good time now**

If you've seen GodlessPaladin's build for the GI, you should know one of it's main strengths ; The Proximity Mine.

Tactical Cloak + Proximity Mine + Headshot = own. Rinse and repeat.


This is the build:

5/6/6/6/3

Tactical Cloak: Damage/Recharge Time/

Proximity Mine: Radius/Damage Taken/Damage

Energy Drain: Radius/Shield Recharge Rate/Damage

Salarian Operative: Damage & Capacity/Headshot Damage/Weapon Damage

Fitness: Three ranks only.

Weapon of choice: Talon equipped with the AP mod and the Extended Barrel, and the Hornet with the Extended Magazine and the Extended Barrel.


This build seems weird, but here is why I think this is on the same level as GodlessPaladin's GI:

I chose only 3 ranks in fitness, because this build is all about fast and swift strikes. It relies on the player's situational awareness a LOT, because you have to rain fire on the enemy while covering your back, going on cloak mode and back to cover to repeat.

/add The strength of this build is based on the Proximity Mine. It is your saviour. If you need to GTFO of a sticky situation, stick one on the ground, make your enemy stagger and run. It will save your teammates when they're surrounded by enemies as well.

Another thing to note is that you can blow an enemy out of cover by sticking a PM onto a wall that the enemy is using for cover.


**WARNING** Not to be condescending, but seriously. If you are too careless, you're bound to die constantly. Just like GodlessPaladin's GI build. Der Blitz can be a bit of a glass cannon. You'll be depending on Energy Drain a LOT.

/UPDATE**
I can't show you guys footage or images of how I've done with this
build, but I played Cerberus Gold on FBW(no farming) and I owned. I had
the top score with 150k followed by a player with 100k who owned with the Mantis, btw. I didn't even equip consumables for this either. =)

I was never a fan of any mine or grenade powers until I tried it on the Geth Infiltrator. Then it got me thinking that I should try to re-spec the Salarian Infiltrator to include Proximity Mine. Thanks for the build suggestion. :)

The Salarian Infiltrator benefits quite a lot from Proximity Mine. I've always thought it was crazy not to take it to full... and that was before they gave it a giant radius.

Proximity Mine fun for the Salarian Infiltrator:
-Use Disruptor Ammo then spam proximity mine at a heavy target while whittling it down.  Not only does this help you kill the enemy faster than using Energy Drain, but between proximity mine and the tech bursts, pretty much everything around that Atlas or Geth Prime (not so much against Reapers) is going to die for free.
-Finish off weakened groups of enemies with a quick cloak PM... especially since it hits through walls!
-Lay it down where you know a group of enemies will pass whenever you have no targets in sight, or when the cloak timer is about to run out anyways, or to cover your path of retreat if you cloak and run away from a sticky situation.
-Lay down a proximity mine where a phantom will walk.  Energy drain it right before it walks on it.  Dead phantom from a tech burst without you exposing yourself.

im surprised you didnt mention tech bursts.
your build can set up and detonate his own tech bursts so long as he has 200% cooldown.

i mean that's the point of the build right?
AOE damage.

You can build and detonate your own tech bursts very reliably regardless of your cooldown time as an SI.

You can build and detonate your own tech bursts very reliably regardless of your cooldown time as an SI.


Is this with the use of Disruptor Ammo + PM?

You honestly don't need any points in fitness.

While you might not think it, the power option of TC is very useful if you get stuck in a nasty position esepcially if soloing the end of a heavy wave. Being able to cloak then ED to recharge shields AND escape, no matter if you use it once a match, is a godsend that is > 3 points in shields, imo.

I'll be honest with you. I had no idea I could do Tech Bursts. The point of this build depends on AoE, yes. But, it also relies on the damage bonus from the Tactical Cloak and the Damage bonus from the Mine to increase the damage that the Talon can do.

If you're still around, can you explain a little bit more how to create Tech Bursts with the PM?.

Set up with Disruptor ammo, hit with ED for burst. 

Or use in tandem with another player's tech skill like Overload.

P.Mine is a detonator for TBs, too. The issue with it is getting it off quickly enough to hit the affected enemies. I find it's much easier to use the ammo method.
