Mass Effect 3 moments that fell flat on their face (Please don't bring up the ending)

Bigger steps need to be taken to keep mouths shut at B-Dubs HQ and the forums. The Collector reveal was hollow because of loose lips as was "From Ashes". Not cool. Yeah, yeah spoilers are gonna happen but if you keep the front door to a jail open, some prisoners are going to walk out. LOCK IT DOWN FFS.

Forced to care about certain people in general.
Final level reminding me of modern borefare.
Thessia: What a waste. Were we suppossed to care from the codex entries? All I saw was a shinier version of a ruined city battlefield area.

And as for the continued mistrust from the VS, maybe some more in game events/evidence that made Shepard look bad would've made this mistrust feel more justified. It was hard not to shoot the VS just out of pure frustration and annoyance at this point.
Or just not have the ridiculous paranoia become the defining characteristic of the VS. Ash/Kaidan are grasping at straws even on Horizon "Okay...you were right about the collectors but Cerberus might be working with them!" "What about the husks, reaper technology, all over the damn place" "Cerberus is controlling you!" "..." and afterwards it just becomes even more ludicrous as regardless of your decision about the collector base(but your decisions matter!) you're no longer in contact or working with Cerberus at all. To the point that yeah, I'm going to kill you instead of waiting around for you to make up your mind and risk Udina doing something stupid or Kai Leng coming up behind me. It's your own fault, you myopic moron.

I didn't find the paranoia to be over the top, just unfounded. There are reasons that a character would have naggings doubts in the back of their head ie - husky Cerberus troops - more should've been placed in game to solidify that mistrust. It's downright hilarious if you have Garrus and Liara or Vega in your squad during the confrontation on the Citadel.
This could've been avoided if the VS's promotion to Spectre had been utilized: Cerberus sleepers feed false intel to the VS and Udina being the slimy anus that he is, backs these claims. The VS would then have been pitted against Shepard for a substantiated reason and would've actually given reason/purpose to the promtion in the first place.

The Boy - I didn't have a problem with this until the Catalyst. See, when you're The Butcher of Torfan and the Earthborn guy who shot one of the 10th Street Reds in the face at Chora's den, the guy who pushes a cornered Eclipse merc out the window, the man who let's a teenager join a suicidal merc mission, the dude who sends a cracked out volus out as a diversion, the hombre who has punched a female reporter in the face 3 times: it's safe to say you probably don't care about that kid enough to warrant a haunting. Unless it's all part of the IT. Which really, really could've been clarified in the game. Alas, no resolution there or at least none that made sense.
"So I've been chasing the Citadel in a dream sequence this whole game?" were the exact words out of my mouth during my first playthrough.
Harbinger - So where the fuq is the supposed oldest, largest, most powerful Reaper who DOGGED THE HELL OUT OF ME in Mass Effect 2? Y U NO SPLAIN? Not even a line of dialogue? Ok...

He pulled a Jacob when you didn't call him once in six months. Now he bugs Anderson all the time and they chat about London and how Anderson was born there. Anderson never tells you this because he feels guilty about it. He knows how close you were.

The horrible disservice to TIM at the end. A great character, great voice actor, very intriguing posssiblites and they simply made him another indicrinated dumb ass who was virtually identical to Saren at the end, very very disappointing,
The Kai Leng bit, they were attemtpting to withing part of one game make the player really hate this guy because he was going to be a boss battle but a forced fight in which the player can lose but cannot win is a terrible thing to do.

Talis face reveal. Why not just show the quarrians? And then be done with it?? Like Tali says in ME3, that even after the immune systems adjust, they would still probaly wear their suits. I know there are fans of the Tali character, but how it is, no one wins. That fell flat.
Tali's face should've been shown when she took off her mask. Bioware could've used the same face model as the photoshop pic, chosen not to have the picture in Sheps cabin and fans would've been none-the-wiser for it. Debacle avoided, holy sh!t moment created.

Eh, would have diluted it some but the lazy photoshop would have still blown up in their face.

Gathering military support in order to return to any planet that had been over ran in order to take it back. There are so many moments that could have been fleshed out over time that it's difficult to list them all.

But if photoshop pic wasn't used, nobody would've known - is the point. The face from the pic could've been used for Tali and again, nobody would've known.

Earth or should I say the lack of time spent there. Landing on planets you didn't have to fight through enemies to get there. The biggest moment that fell flat to me were all the lack of bases or strongholds that could have been substitutes for Hubs. Take for instance Surkesh. Clearing out Reaper forces to gain entry into a base of operations would have been genius and once discovered, you could return whenevr you needed black market equipment, ship upgrades, armor upgrades, or weapon upgrades.

I agree. Being able to see places before Reaper destruction would've created a greater emotional connect between the players and the game. At the very least, if the Citadel was going to be the only hub, ALL of it should've been there. ME1, 2 and 3 areas open and available for visitation.

Well the face from the pic was something they grabbed from google. Why not model tali's VA? And while you're at it come up with a unique look for the quarians beyond glowing eyes and some facepaint.

Yeah. I still get pissed when they announced that we were returning to Noveria! When they should have very honestly said, you people will do a single short mission on Noveria instead. Before and after of worlds before they had been hit would have been beautiful and they can't say that it wasn't possible because by their own words, harvesting can take centuries to do t throughly. All worlds shouldn't have fallen so quickly. Garrus said that Palaven lost millionsin the first day out of billions of Turians, we still had time to hit some unoccupied areas before the invasion hit full swing.

And I might possibly be giggling while writing this, though whether at the amount of bull**** I'm spouting or the source itself remains to be speculated heavily upon for several days.

Yes, yes the pic is Googled but, again, nobody would've known that if they just shown Tali's face during the cutscene instead of the photo on Shep's desk. The glowing eye thing is irrelevant since it's been known since ME1 that hey yo, Quarians have glowy eyes.
Face mask off, Tali breathes a deep breath as she closes her eyes, camera cuts to behind her and Shep, music swells, end scene. All bs and this discussion averted.
