Yeah. I still get pissed when they announced that we were returning to Noveria! When they should have very honestly said, you people will do a single short mission on Noveria instead. Before and after of worlds before they had been hit would have been beautiful and they can't say that it wasn't possible because by their own words, harvesting can take centuries to do t throughly. All worlds shouldn't have fallen so quickly. Garrus said that Palaven lost millionsin the first day out of billions of Turians, we still had time to hit some unoccupied areas before the invasion hit full swing.

I feel you there, I was expecting Port Hanshan and then the mission.

More like the game's most bland hour.

Well the face from the pic was something they grabbed from google. Why not model tali's VA? And while you're at it come up with a unique look for the quarians beyond glowing eyes and some facepaint.

Yes, yes the pic is Googled but, again, nobody would've known that if they just shown Tali's face during the cutscene instead of the photo on Shep's desk. The glowing eye thing is irrelevant since it's been known since ME1 that hey yo, Quarians have glowy eyes.

Face mask off, Tali breathes a deep breath as she closes her eyes, camera cuts to behind her and Shep, music swells, end scene. All bs and this discussion averted.

Eh, I think people would have figured it out. I'm not against the glowing eyes, I'm just saying the Quarians deserved more than just giving them glowing eyes, slapping some facepaint on, and calling it a day.

I go to solve the Genophage, and "oh by the way, Cerberus is here too, although nobody knows why"

That was never explained in game nor was the traitor who tipped off Cerberus on Sur'kesh. "Every war has it's traitors."

And that's it. Come on. Really?

Or how they blindsided the best intelligence service in the galaxy and got to Sur'Kesh unopposed. Who is the traitor who has the power to get Cerberus past all the Salarian defenses? The Dalatrass? Although that really wouldn't surpise me as much as she hates the Krogan.

Thessia. What should have been the game's darkest hour just did nothing for me.

It's strange how different we see things =)
I still find the fall of Thessia to be one of the saddest moment in the game. The radio chatter as the reapers descend made me feel so small and so helpless and so so sad.

And yet one thing that affected so many didn't affect me much at all. Namely Legions death. Not that I didn't care about the character. It just didn't affect me as much as other people. Probably because his death at least ment something.
But not that the moment fell flat on its face though. So im getting off topic.

So back on topic. The first moment that "fell flat on its face"?.. Hmm. Well the first thing that comes to mind is Tali's face reval moment. It's not something I loose sleep over or sending hatemails to bioware about or anything. But the moment does feel cheap and rushed. It sure didn't do anything to me at least. It was more like a "Meh.." moment.

Railroading. F*** U SPACE CHILD!

That, and honestly the levels felt rushed. Why did the London rush take 5 seconds and Cerberus coup took 2 hours? Plus, there was no trial and Shepard's background played no part other than her saying "I can imagine Earth as a warzone. I grew up in the slums. But not Eden Prime."

When 3 years earlier she saw the place razed by a Reaper...

You should discuss this in the feedback and suggestions thread. Bioware might intentionally overlook or genuinely overlook this thread which has some pretty good points.

"STEEEEEEEEEEEVE!!!!!" was perfect, as was James' reactionary dialogue if he dies. Everyone else's, including Shep's lack of emotion if he lives, was not. Kaiden should have been biotically skull****ing a reaper while yelling and Ash should be emptying a clip into a marauder's face.

My moments would be Thessia, while sad in context, it didn't have enough oomph to make me feel it. Kai Leng should have executed a matriarch in front of Shep and Liara AND kick his ass. Then the player would really want payback on top of retrieving Vendetta.

Most of all was earth. I felt nothing, as there was nothing to feel for. Had we explored our planet in peace time and interacted with fellow earthlings long enough to get invested, then we'd have a reason to want to take earth back.

I kind of agree with pretty much everything you guys said, but not with the Thessia part. Perhaps it's because I was very attached to Liara, but that part got me. I really felt like Shepard.

Other than that, dammit! Yes, the game is severely broken...

The intro, I really expected Shepard to face a hearing or trial. Other than that, it wasn't all bad, I guess, but that might have been my character since he was Earthborn anyways.

Sidequests, they really bored me most of the time. I liked the ME2 character cameos on the Citadel, but all the Eavesdropping and fetching and then the Journal... tsk tsk tsk.

Tali's face. Bioware, I am disappoint. If you want your games to be art, at least act like you're serious about it.

Allers' voice acting. Sorry to be so harsh, but it just sucked. I hope Bioware learns from it and keeps to trained, skilled VA's in the future.

The Rachni, I actually looked forward to them playing a role... only to be utterly disappointed. Why this had to be, I will never understand. No justification for this, seriously.

The lack of 3 Dialogue options. One of the major signs that this game was rushed.

The Crucible. No matter how many War assets you gather, it gets finished. No matter how much you suck through the course of the game, it just doesn't matter. Just seriously bad.

Anderson being born in London and Shepard being surprised/shocked TWICE. Seriously, it's a small flaw, you might think, but a careful, cautious writing team would not have made such a blatant mistake. Either they just really fell asleep and forgot that they already mentioned that small fact, or the writing team was not the same. I dunno which is worse.

The Earth-bias in ME3. No matter your Shepard's background, he gets railroaded into caring his ass off about Earth above all other things. I can see it with an Earthborn, but a Spacer Shep who wants to save everyone, not just humans? Seriously? I cared more about how things went on Sur'Kesh or Irune than about Earth.

London. It was rushed, no matter how you put it. Worst rushing I ever saw. I expected it to take 3-4 hours to get through it, it took little over an hour. Sorry, but that's unacceptable.

The Cerberus Coup. I liked the general setting, lots of action and pew pew, but what exactly was its purpose?

I second everything you said, add to this a couple of other things:

Kai Leng

Thane's death. Why was Shepard simple standing there watching his dying friend fight alone?

Dream sequences were boring

Diana Allers was incredibly annoying in every way

Last of all, there were TOO MANY CUTSCENES! Yes they were done well, however every time I open
a door during a mission I felt myself thinking "Am I going to lose
control of the game again?" There were some cutscenes that would go on
for a good 10 minutes with maybe two dialogue choice options. After all, the whole point of a video game is to play it. Not just watch it. Compare the amount of cutscenes in this game from the number of cutscenes in the previous two, and you'll see what I mean. At least in the others you were given dialogue choice options and the renegade/paragon triggers (ME2)

I forgot to add that when we enter the Geth consensus, it could have been done Overlord style where we had to fight to get to the objective. That DLC alone should have set the standard for entering the virtual world of ME3.

Miranda died in my first playthrough because I didn't blindly give her Alliance support for no apparent reason, which was silly.

And then I realised... Her death was also silly.

"Oh, well, I guess I got stabbed or something. Bleeding out now."

"I have like 8 doses of medi-gel, I could induce you into a medical coma and restore you fully to health."

"No, your medi-gel has been rendered inert by plot contrivance."

"Oh. Damn. I'm sorry, Mir."

"It's okay. I got my incredibly unstasifying revenge and have no reason to take care of my little sister I've been obsessing over protecting, nor do I have any incentive to help you take down the Illusive Man for all the crap he's done..."

"... You don't?"

"Of course I do, idiot! I was just kidding! Now heal me before I- ACK"

"Nooooooooo!"

1/The Rachni being present no matter what. LULZ IM A QUINNZ CLONE YA KNOW ?
2/Legion being there no matter what. BUT I SWEARZ IM NOT LEGIONZ.
3/End of Thessia, we should have seen some Asari getting killed, it would been a more emotive moment that hearing some people screaming.
4/The dreams. Seriously they are not moving to me(like at all). And they are annoying as hell to play through(again).
5/U CHEATZ ON MEH SHEP BUT I FORGIVZ YOU LULZ SO WE CAN BE TOGETHER AGAIN LOLOLOL. Seriously ?
6/Jack punching Shepard for no reason. LULZ I TOLD YOU TO NOT TRUST THEM! Didn't she work with them as long as shepard ?

This, plus the intro. I never managed to care about ventboy, or really get emotionally involved in earth blowing up before I had left. Susequent dreams felt forced because of this.

Yeah. I was confused by that scene as well. She died for me because i dumped her i guess. Anyway... at first i didn't even realize she was dying. She didn't look wounded and it didn't look like she took much damage either. So when she died I was like Ok, what's going on here? I had to reload to check if I had missed something.

What's the point - it's not like they are going to change anything?
I shoved feedback in that thread too knowing full well it's a pointless exercise.
They just serve to show what is wrong with ME3

A lot of the things that were dicussed in the Feedback thread should have been addressed during the development, and the same goes for what's been dicussed here.

Bioware may look at them - but they are definitely not going to alter/address anything.

Mass Effect 3 was a wasted opportunity, an afterthought, a downgrade.

I mean there are only 26 different enemies in Mass Effect 3 - go figure....

It's a big shame really :(

Rachni. That was such a big decision in the first game. They gave us a hint at something big in the second game and the meeting felt somewhat disappointing. Grunt saves the mission for me. That last scene with him is gold, depending on your options. Nonetheless, I was expecting something different with the Rachni in Mass Effect 3. In the end, they felt like just a back burner to the genophage and Quarian/Geth struggles.

The Rachni plotline should have been on par with those struggles, but I guess that's just too much to invest when you wouldn't see it all if you killed the Rachni Queen in ME1.
