are you lying or purposely misremembering?

Where do I say I selected Sythesis or that I think it is the best ending? You do know I am not the OP of that topic, right?

I know you weren't the OP, but you were defending synthesis. I asked why you were defending synthesis, you then said i was lying or purposely misremembering. But you were. If you hadn't picked synthesis, and were simply defending it for some other reason, why didn't you explain rather than accuse me of lying?

I said, in the post you linked: "That is not evidence of lying.... "

That's support for Synthesis how? You claimed I defended it as the best ending. Where? Link it or stop lying.

Hell, that thread has this post from me. Even better is this one, where I state which ending I think is best!

Why are you lying?

i was linking to the thread. not a post. you were defending it from page 5 onwards. I didn't say you were defending it as the best ending, i said you were defending it. While i thought you were defending it as the best ending rather than a good ending, I didn't say it.  You were defending synthesis in that thread.

I didn't lie at all.

Out of curiousity, now that I know you chose destroy, why did you?

You won't even admit you lied when it is proven... sad.

LOL, you think that's proof that I lied, and yet you think the Starchild is honest? your internal lie detector sucks. At best you've shown that I misunderstood your reason for defending synthesis. Whereas, when i said you defended synthesis, you claimed that i was a liar, implying that you didn't. That is more of a lie than anything I've said.

You know if it was lying or even wanted to lie, it wouldn't even have bother to lift Shepard to the outside on the bottom of the Presidium. The Reapers were already winning.  In other words, why even bother to fool Shepard when it was already winning?

If it wasn't lying it had no reason to bring Shepard upstairs either. The only answer that makes sense is indoctrination.

No, it's not the "only" answer. It could, be as the game plays out, Shep makes it the Crucible and the Catalyst simply gives him the available options.

he only "makes it" up there, because the Starchild chooses to bring Shepard upstairs. If it isn't the only answer that makes sense, what is another one?

Did you forget the whole bit about how the Crucible changed the Catalyst?

No. He says that when presenting the options. The Crucible changed the Citadel, its body, giving it these options. It's a hardware change.

How does the elevator prove IT?

I knew it, this one doesn't function properly, please reboot!!

The elevator is not real, it's a 'dream-state' imposed while unconscious, in London.

I feel we just fell back in time, oh about 3 hours have been lost on this one.

No, it's not.

So what was the point of saying "even you are partially synthetic"?

You're making a leap that anything that is "synthetic" will be destroyed and not just synthetic life.  Shep's implants are not synthetic life.

K, he's talking to Shepard, and he says "Even YOU are partly synthetic."
Are you saying that Shepard is part AI?

HUH? You didn't answer my question. He says

"Even YOU are partly synthetic.", then you said

"You're making a leap that anything that is "synthetic" will be destroyed and not just synthetic life.
Shep's implants are not synthetic life."

So are you saying that Shepard is partially synthetic life?

You won't even admit you lied when it is proven... sad.

You asserted: "Really? i remember you passionately defending synthesis as the superior option a couple of weeks ago? Why the change?"

You posted that. You dont' get to change what you said simply because you can't actually support it.

oh i actually said superior option? oops, then i guess i did say what i thought. It wasn't a lie though. I was merely mistaken. Sorry.

I merely made the assumption because you were defending synthesis in a thread with that title, and you were the main person doing so at the point i joined that thread. But again, apologies.

You imply that destroy only destroy synthetic life. The catalyst says "even you are partly synthetic"

Therefore you beleive that Shepard is part synthetic life.

That's not painting it in a negative colour, that's only the Catalyst telling the truth. Truth is, he paints it no worse than control.

Truth is, according to him, destroy is the worst option because you may die, it destroys an entire race, a squadmate, "most technology you rely on", and it doesn't solve the Catalysts problem.

The only downside of control is death.

But there's no opinion in that, he mearly states what will happen. That doesn't mean he's painting it in a negative light because maybe he wants to live, it just means he's telling you what will happen and it's the most negative (arguably).

Indoctrination's just a theory by fans grasping at straws trying to give meaning to the lame ending. The Shepard I played had much to much willpower to ever be indoctrinated. Even when TIM was controlling Shepard's body at the end Shepard's mind was still his own.

There's no contradiction, I just do not agree with nor accept your theory. I swear you IT theory guys are like religious fanatics trying to convert people. We don't want to be converted, we simply do not believe in your theory.

If BioWare officially makes it part of the story with downloadable content I won't like it, but it won't be fan theory anymore. Until then it's just fan fiction I do not like, and don't want to encourage BioWare to do.

He implies it because he says, that when the catalyst says "even you are partly synthetic." he is NOT referring to the synthetics in Shepards body. But what else could the kid be talking about when he says that shepard is part synthetic?

The Starchild says that all synthetic life will be destroyed and even Shepard is partly synthetic. The way the sentence is structured, implies that the synthetic parts that help Shepard live, will be destroyed.

If it applies to only AI, as you suggested before, then the way the Starchild phrases it is silly, because then he's using 2 different meanings of synthetic in the same sentence, and the implication that he will die would mean that Shepard was part AI.

you could have just said no to the "strawman" it was a question, not a "defend this!".

He could say that Shepard would die, or would lose everything he is, but he didn't. It's just a commentary, if he knew that Shepard would die too he would just say so. As he didn't, he only comment about him being partially synthetic.

But that's so hard to understand, apparently.

What? Because the Catalyst said it or Cav said it?

He's...talking about him being partly synthetic? He doesn't say one way or the other, just that you are partly synthetic.

You may die or you may not.
