Kill stealing only bothers me when people go out of their way to steal a kill and end up dying and/or jeopardizing everyone else.

I'd call it ungrateful, if someone saves me from a Banshee grasp they are my new best friend.

I try not to kill steal, but it happens. I've never once heard anyone complain in the games I've joined on PC.

My golden rule for kill stealing: Don't shoot the target that the Batarian is about to Falcon Punch. Kind of a treat others as you wish to be treated thing.

I think that's your point.  ON PC, I have never had anything remotely happen like that in one of my matches.  Most people don't even use mics.  I think it is because the platform is cheaper to get, you get a lot of kids and other CoD people playing.  The higher cost of admission for PC players may thin out those heards a bit.

Kill stealing really should only be an issue for Infiltrators.

The amount of moves that stagger, screen shake, toss enemies, or some combo of the above/obstruct view is utterly phenomenal and i only just noticed once i started using infiltrator as my main.

There's a difference between killstealing and helping the team. And yes, killstealing does exist in ME3. If you're only shooting enemies with low health, using Overload or Warp on a target that has already Warped, or trying to kill a Banshee that's easily killed by a class that's already attacking it as opposed to killing the Cannibals and Marauders that could overrun you, you're killlstealing. If you're following someone around, and you're getting every kill, he's most likely going to kick you. There is such a thing as too much teamwork.

Post their user names and shame them if it's not against the forum rules. I think them X's by their name on most lobbies they join should help them get the hint;

Often times, Kill "stealing" helps more than it hurts. If I'm using a Talon and I don't manage to kill everyone in front of me in 4 bullets...by all means steal my kills. I do more damage in the fight than on the ground and I'm sure most teammates (in a cooperative game) would agree. If it looks like you're struggling, then I'll come over and help/kill steal. Time is my only goal, not the score.

For you meleers, here's the thing from my sniping pov.

In that instant that I see something punching you, I do not go 'oh, well, he's a Batarian with full shields and full health who can easily kick it's ass.'

I think 'I don't know what his health/shields are or what his power recharge status is or if he's trying to reload a shotgun' and I shoot it.

Those same guys who **** about someone killstealing them while they're meleeing will turn around the next minute and **** that you didn't help them out when they were hurting.

I can't see what's on your screen. In that instant that I have that Geth Hunter in my sights, I don't know if you're about to boot stomp his head or if you're stunned and need help. I'd much rather shoot it and move on since we're all in this together.

The Batarian Heavy melee has very abvious wind up animation, you really cant miss it.
If you ever get ****ed for not helping the Batarian using heavey melee, then GJ you have found a retard who can savely be ignored for the rest of the match.

This, Forever this.   Yes its annoying to have your prey snatched out from under you.. But I can't tell what YOUR health is, where your shields are at, if you're reloading...  All i see, unless you're in batarian falcon punch mode is that you're surrounded by creatures.  I'm dropping the hurt on anything near a team-mate so I don't have to ninja my way through the map to pick your butt up.

I do this on any character, an the times i start letting people alone like this... is when people start dropping repeatedly an chewing ME out for not being a team player.

So which is it, shall I murder everything around you an keep you safe... Or let you have your kills and find my own corner of the map to play sniper/melee gawd?    You can only yell at me for one of these.. You pick.

The only time I get annoyed at "kill stealing" is when i've got a pyro with only two bars of health left, on fire from my incinerate, and right when i tap energy drain to blow that mofo up someone with a widow blows its head off. Please, use common sense, when your squadmate chewed an enemy down to two health bars and sets up a tech burst, shoot someone else! With full shields and armor. My fire explosion would have stripped the shields off anyone near by, allowing you to one shot them all before they can compute pie.

Also, don't interupt two biotics setting up explosions with your tech powers. Other than that, shoot away.

The only thing I object to is Vanguards with "little man syndrome" (Who keep picking fights they can't win) diving into groups that instantly KO them, even with their shield regen. I don't mind getting assists because if you're a good player, getting assists mixed in with a few kills will get you spot #1 or #2 on the leaderboards.

But Vanguards, I dunno. They always seem to be "in the way". You know, like a dog who constantly hovers around you while you make food...

The two classes im using at the moment for gold runs are a batarian sentinel and a quarian infiltrator. I often get moaned at for finishing atlas with my quarian, when they dont realise i have been putting invisibility enhanced widow rounds into the thing as long as they have been shooting it. Im the victim when im the batarian sentinel, but if you snipe my netted target, i just say thanks and move on. The only thing that pisses me of is when you set up a netted target for a tech burst with incinerate, and a human sentinel/asari adept launchs a throw cross map at them

Don't hit things I've already hit once and I'm reloading to finish off :)

Seriously - the number of times I've set myself up in a sniper's perch, fired a shot and either didn't get the head shot or blew off the armor/shields of a mob only to have them suddenly turn blue or go into stasis or turn to ice and then finished them off?  Too many to count, and then I have to listen to the occasional complainer 'don't hit the mobs I'm setting up on!'

Well didn't you notice that Marauder had no shields?  Or that the mob was already down on health?  Did you care?

Nope.  You hit what you want and then complain when I finish off the mobs I started on.

I say again, I set up in one place if I can, and I shoot what comes into my line of sight.  Vanguard/Biotics often give me no respect and then whine about KSing.  Sorry, but if you can't figure out where your snipers are set up and where their field of fire is?  That's your problem, not mine.

Speaking of which - if I've found myself a nice cozy spot?  Don't stand next to me and fire off your damned biotics and shake my rifle.  Don't stand behind me and shoot over my head because not only does it blind me when I'm not looking through my scope, but it also boxes me in and doesn't allow me to get the hell out if something comes a callin' because you're too busy with your biotics or your pistol firing at my targets and not watching the flanks.

yes, it is a team oriented game, but when some vanguard charges in to the fight that you were winning or someone snipes a trooper you just took down to 1 bar of health, that's annoying

People who complain about kill stealing are so full of themselves. If you claim that sombody is trying to steal your kills in a cooperative game, I'm going to automaticaly say that you probably suck.

But to eliminate this "threat," that is why assists occur and you get points regardless for helping out. So no matter what it becomes a team effort... like intended from the start.

Pretty much. I had somebody **** at me for stealing his kills in glacial vs the geth. From round 5 till extraction I was pretty much soloing the last half of the rounds after I told him I wouldn't "take" his kills. The end of round 10 he was asking me for help since he couldn't hold his own.

Exactly kingtrouble. I don't know about you guys, as long as the targets die and the wave gets done faster, use all the abilities you can to make it happen. If it's in the game, use it!

Yup, faster waves means faster credits. On top of "kill stealing" people don't have the common sense to do a quick scan around them every 5 - 10 seconds or use med kits and rockets when you know the situation needs it.

That happened to me yesterday for the first time. That person quickly quitted the game during round 2.

I really do not care who gets the kills; I care about the team working together and completing the mission. As one who typically plays support characters, I am used to getting my kills "stolen" from me. It does not mean anything in the end.

Wait... you can use missiles? O.o

I kid, I kid.. I use missiles, the only problem is my missile disappears into the wild blue yonder having gone through a crowd of geth about to eat my face...  I mean seriously... Out of a complete wall of primes, pyro's, hunters, and troopers... My Gigantic flying facepalm of death misses them all?

I usually run into this bug when there's 1 of two situation.
1) I get knocked back right as I fire my missile
2) Connection to the host server is bad.
