I don't mean about the whole control thing. I'm talking Mass Effect 2. I agreed with him on everything, the collector base, the need for above the law action, everything. Anyone else?

I think that the Illusive Man had some good points regarding the collector base. The technology would be invaluable for humans. I also appreciate the fact that he has no use for endless bueracracy and rules that your typical government organizations have. Without jumping through those hoops things get done faster.

However, I don't trust him. I don't agree that humans should be above any other race. That kind of attitude only causes problems. I'd prefer for the races to work together. TIM is a bigot and I just don't accept bigotry. I also don't necessarily trust him either. I think just about everything he says is a lie and that he does not care about the welfare of other people even humans if what he is doing may make Cerberus more powerful.

I think that there should have been an option to save the collector base, but turn it over to the Alliance or the Citadel Council. I think TIM is right when he says they could benefit from the tech, but like Samara says "He thinks he has the wisdom to use it but he does not."

I agree. They basically demonised him and changed his character so they could have a 'Face of evil'

People like TIM are sometimes necessary. And prior to ME3, he probably did advance the interests of humanity. He's a very interesting and morally gray character IMO. I labeled him an ally with a different methodology.

Then again, I play a very pro-human paragon. That is, human interests trump all alien interests, but cooperation and friendship are more advantageous than zero-sum games. Also, overly aggressive and undiplomatic species tend to get genophaged.

By ME3 though, TIM fell victim to his own hubris, becoming a puppet of the Reapers. He's just like Saren from ME1.

I agree with him, i was pretty disappointed that Cerberus was main enemy and you were forced to be against them even if you were agreeing with them in ME2 :(

Whole Cerberus idea and TIM was changed for ME3 to create new main enemy for bad story telling. Ofc MP is big part of it also

I liked him as a 'grey' character, and I also liked how BW made him slip into the black/evil. I always wanted to shoot him. :3

He was fantastic in ME2. It was like "finally somebody that trusts me to get **** done!". Didn't have to deal with the Council or anything like that. Did business in a shady way (ex. letting it "slip" that Shepard was with Cerberus, lying about the Collector ship..). His motives were genuine. I hate how he was just made out to be the bad guy in ME3, even if you left things off fairly decently with him by saving the base and not telling him to go screw at the end. I play as a "pro-human" Shepard, humanity always comes first so maybe that's why.

In all, Cerberus as a whole could have been so much better in ME3.

Cerberus and TIM could have been great in ME3 if it wasnt for the necessity of humanoid enemies.

I honestly agreed with saving the Collector Base, and always felt the people who chose to destroy it should be punished in some way in ME3. To me, the choice to destroy it was based more on emotion and morality rather than logic or pragmatism.

I agree with his ideals, but think he sucks at running the group.

I believe there is an extra war asset for those who did not destroy the Collector Base. I may be wrong, it is just what I've heard.

I can understand where TIM is coming from, but I don't usually agree with his methods. He's very methodical, always thinking about the numbers. A "I'll destroy ths planet full of people to save the rest of the system" kind of guy. Then again, look at the Arrival DLC, some things just have to be done.

There is, the reaper processor array. I agree with TIM, but I'm not putting human interests above others.

I never bought into the 'Humanity comes first' line from Cerberus, but I did save the Collector base because I though somewhere down the storyline I there would be a tangible benefit from researching it (even if Cerberus was doing it).
