I have Dragon Age, Ultimate Edition patched to 1.05, so all my DLC are authorized and working. However, I guess I "earned" some free items, specifically Embri's Pockets, Blood Dragon Armor, War Mage amulet - at least it says so in my profile of registered game content. The installation always fails even though the download succeeds. I have also noticed that where it says "Required Game Version," the version appears to be 1.0 but in red, as if I do not have that version.

I had bought the game as a hard copy originally but since it would not install on my Dell Insiron M5030 (Windows 7 Home 64-bit), I called EA and they gave me a digital copy. Might that have something to do with it? The achievements and characters from the digital download transfer fine (my avatar is from the digital download)

My game is very heavily modded (I've alreaady played vanilla, and I don't experience compatibility problems between the mods), so that might also be an issue. This stuff was never downloaded before on my digital copy, and now it seems it is trying and failing to download. I cannot give a timeline unfortuately, but my game was already heavily modded before this problem arose. 

I can provide more info if this isn't helpful. Any assistance, or hell, any comment or redirect, would be appreciated. It's a minor annoyance, but still an annoyance as my game sometimes pauses to try a restart.

I never use mods, so I'm probably going to blame them. Other than that, have you tried installing those items manually? (The Dragon Age Wiki has links to all the promo and bonus items files.)
