With patch 1.02, is there a database update?

It sounds like some of the fixes were in the core scripts and whatnot.

Edit: Oh, you can open the patch files to see what was changed. >_<

If you enjoy reading compiled scripts, yeah :P

The database should have the patch's fixes in them in the next toolset release, I made it from our development database after the various patch fixes had been committed to it. In fact, I wound up having to fix a few bugs that were introduced by post-patch 1.02 changes that slipped in as well (for those who've experimented with the pre-release core database, this is what was causing sys_traps_h to fail to compile).

Maybe a bit of a silly question, but to be on the safe side.
Does the database pre-release from the "Toolset core database" project contain the changed core scripts from the 1.02 ? Or did that pre-release DB "only" fixed the guid plot issue ? :o

I took the patch to pieces and found about half the stuff in the patch notes in there and could assign them to their respective files (yes I did extract the erf files). Anyway, could anyone from BioWare please describe how these patches work and more importantly how this affects override and addin mods? I figure, that the override in the profile has a higher priority than the patches do but where are all those changes from the patch notes that I couldn't find in the patch files?

For example, the mana and stamina regeneration? Is this something on a binary level (DLL, EXE) or which files do change that?

The pre-release database was intended just to fix the GUIDs (and also the string table while we were at it), but the resources for that database were taken from our internal database where the patch work was being done so it should include most or all of it.

Unfortunately we don't have well-defined "branches" of the database, only the exported resources, so I can't say with certainty that all the patch stuff made it into the pre-release. But the database we're sending out with the next toolset is more recent still and I believe its resources were taken after patch lockdown so it should all be in that one.

Afraid I don't know how the patching system works in any detail, myself.

Hopefully those of us who never manager to get the toolset to work will be able to do so with the next version?

But now that 1.02 is out, is new toolset version/trailer just around the corner? :)

Are there any modifications to the 2da's? Our will the "source" folder be updated along with the toolset. Also, will we be getting updated Source 2da's for the DLC? Manually finding and putting in the Warden's Keep spells was a pain, to say the least.

I'm sure the 2da source will be updated. Otherwise the whole thing would be utterly worthless for the vast majority of modders. Even worse, they would need to work with out of date data and source files. Madness I say.

exactly...but I had to work with out of date data, technically, for the DLC spells. There was no update for that. :\\
