I could not care less if someone liked the ending. Everyone I have ever asked who liked the ending, not in person since everyone I know hates the ending, but the people online say they like it but they overlook the plot holes and inconsistencies.

Posted Image

I have a particular disdain for this individual for their attitude and lack of grace but its not personal. Even the most avid supporters of the ending admits there are plot holes and takes the defense that its "just a game". Then I have to listen to how, because I want a new ending... because many people want a new ending, its only because we want a typical happy ending and want a cliche thoughtless ending... uhhhhhhh... I cannot for the life of me understand how one comes to the conclusion that we only want a happy ending. We want CHOICES... If the current ending was one of the bad endings, I would be ok.

So next... I have notice a gaggle of people who are now feigning being indignant when I have joked with Bioware employees about the ending.

Posted Image

I want to make something clear... Bioware/EA made a choice to keep their ending, go into a seige mode for two months and insult their fans.

Your title thread promised two points. You made a promise to me before I invested my time and emotions in opening this thread. Now I find out you lied and I can't see any points in there.

I demand you release clarification.

The Pro-Ending misconception...

and people not being able to take a joke because of their new found over sensitivity.

Yes, the game has many "Plot holes" no one can name or elaborate on.

I agree regarding the overemphasis on the ending and crusades to make it... different? Better (subjective)?

Whilst completely ignoring the fact that a choice driven RPG with consequences has turned into a non-choice Auto Shepard linear anti-consequence push buttons and watch what happens nonpersonal experience. aka Bizarro Mass Effect III for the Brain-Challenged

If you play male Shepard one way, you may have a shot at a half decent, partially sensical story.

You expect me to sit through 39 minutes of him rambling incoherently, with that voice? I'm 2 minutes in and already *headdesk*.Just shoot me a pm with all plot holes, thanks.

Just keep watching... then watch it again. You will understand eventually.

But that's harder than watching a 5 minute ending!

I'll start by saying that it's nice to see someone get this expression right. It seems like absolutely everyone says "I could care less" these days.

Then I have to listen to how, because I want a new ending... because many people want a new ending, its only because we want a typical happy ending and want a cliche thoughtless ending... uhhhhhhh... You're  OK with letting Shepard choose to have an unhappy ending? Um.... yeah, but unless Shep's an idiot he's not going to choose that ending anyway. Choice doesn't work when some choices are obviously worse than others. Maybe Shepard should have more than three choices in the endgame, but adding a fourth choice that's better for everyone wouldn't increase choice at all. It would reduce choice. Except for people who are role-playing an idiot, I guess.

If you say you don't want a happy ending, I believe you. So what sort of ending -- that isn't happier than the existing endings -- do you want?

He probably facepalmed as he read the thread, and made a sound that was supposed to amount to "D-oh!" (homer simpson style), but accidentlly sneezed whilst typing and added a T to the end of the word

I assume he means an alternate ending that doesn't involve the Starkid offering you 3 killswitches.  Maybe a different branch of options.  I dunno.

Choice is not the last 5 minute of the game. Choice is based on the ENTIRE journey and being able to choose something from the options available based on what you did.

That was written by a complete and utter moron.

1.The reaper blast knocked the life sign locators hardwired into every piece of armor offline therefore giving hq the presumption everyone is dead.

I could bother taking apart all of that but too bad this is a non spoiler section :crying:

Your attitude stinks... and the fact that you would dismiss those points so readily, which are pretty damning if you are intellectually honest... shows me that you are trying way too hard to establish this faux sense of intelligence... somehow you understand the ending but no one else does. The ending is crap and the things you people do is so transparent. It would take an awfully stupid person to not even know WHY people are saying they don't like the ending before countering, saying its good or OK and admitting you have never seen anyone address any of those inconsistencies when there are literally hours of youtube videos dedicated to why the ending was bad and novels worth of text on it from BSN and other sources.
