Welllllll ... maybe not instantaneous ...

If the Normandy can travel at 12 light years per day, that means it can travel at 182 light hours per hour. Which means
it can travel at 3 light hours every second. And Pluto is 5.6 light hours from the sun ... which means if Joker wanted to travel at full speed, he could reach the Sol Relay in just under 2 seconds.

Pretty fast ...

Well that seems a little bit unrealistic. But if its true, maybe there is some hope for the races after the ending.

Yeah, he probably wouldn't want to get up to full speed for a trip that short. I don't see how he'd keep from overshooting.

Note that Bio's deliberately been vague about how fast ships can go inside systems, how long their range actually is, and so forth. Sound design, since it means you don't decide what a number is until you actually need it for something. I doubt they'd have given us the 12 l.y./day figure if they hadn't wanted to establish that exploration on the galaxy map can be thought of as taking days, rather than minutes or months.

I may be out of my zone here, but.. how do you obtain Synthesis between Organics and Synthetics if Synthetics have no DNA?.

We're talking about faster-than-light engines. What exactly is the baseline for "realistic"? :D

He can fly a ship halfway across a galaxy and hit the head of a pin. :P

Pretty sure that quote was Joker boasting on his Relay travel skills.  But anyway, the part about not getting to top speed is true.  It would be much too short of a trip for top accelleration.

Raz, Actually brotha, it would be two minutes, but that is beside the point. The point is, well played. I love watching "debaters" who have a filecase full of evidence spew off all they got, and then have NOTHING when someone who isn't arguing but rather "critical thinking" tears up what they got. To many "smart" folks these days. I can actually defend the folks who claim por writing (some of it was, like star child's dialogue), but it's not a plot hole. Plot hole would be haestrom, the Normandy, and a few characters I could guarantee we will see shortly in dlc form. Yes, I like the ending, but not for what it is but what it sets up. The more I play the game, the more I hear the insinuations as to what's coming, the more i am pumped to see what comes next.
