Which LI has the most aggressive defenders

The thought came to me when I read the Urban dictionary number 2 definition of Talimancer. I found it funny even though I like Tali too.

http://www.urbandict...r&defid=4864139

I honestly think Ashleymancers are more aggressive then Talimancers

Perhaps I'm biased but I haven't seen anything to suggest Ash fans are "aggressive"... Seems whenever somebody new comes in or is just asking a question they're always welcome.

Unless you're referring to people who come into the thread just to call her a space racist, xenophobe, bible thumper..etc. then yes, we tend to be a bit more harsh but only because it gets old hearing everyone say that when it's not even true.

Actually, I've found them to be obnoxious. If you go into the Ashley thread and post a picture of her with anyone other than Shepard you get "that's disgusting!" and macros of a guy pulling a face and pictures of bottles with 'brain bleach' written on them despite there being a rule against posting comments with only pictures in them as replies.

It's the Ashley thread, not the Ashley/Shepard thread

The femshep fans are aggressive? It's hard to find a femShep video on youtube that doesn't have a bunch of comments where people are calling female Shepard a s*** and other misogynist things. Associating the fans with some feminist agenda (despite the fact there is a large number of male femShep fans) and ending their comment with how they think Mark Meer is the best voice actor ever. Jennifer Hale sounds like a s*** and should never do voice acting ever again.

If anyone is aggressive, it's the people who don't like femShep and feel threatened by her little 18% er 23% popularity. The percentage keeps changing, depending on what they have read, but they bring it up, over and over and over as if mentioning it is some profound fact that will put people in their place.

They attack the fan base every chance they get like a bunch of boys on the playground who forgot to take their cootie shots and are picking on the only girl that just wants to play soccer with them.

That #2 definition on the page was hilarious. Talimancers in general seem to be somewhat saner at the moment, though not all of them. I'd have a hard time finding quantifying which one of the fanbases has the largest amount of weirdos and crusaders currently though.

I haven't seen any of this to be honest. Always seems well-mannered to me.

To each their own I guess.

Fans are incredibly agressive, no matter what they're fans about. Just investigate the definition of "fan" in phsycology studies. Fans have serious problems if you come to think about it.
Ano not just Talimancers, or Femshep fans, or Retakers, or anti-enders or pro-enders. All the fans are the same at some point.

I don't think that's comparable. The endings are a much more touchy subjects for most of us than characters.

But that's just my opinion of course.

In terms of defense of their character - Liaramancers.
I'm a Liaramancer myself and while I can withstand criticism of a character and the unequal treatments of them all I can't withstand the amount of pure hate comments that Liara receives... I have never talked about a character I don't like in *that* sort of tone, nor have I ever insulted the fanbase of such a character - which many Liara haters seem to do.

Before it was probably Ashleymancers because she gets a lot of stick from people who declare her a xenophobe or a racist.

In terms of aggression, I wouldn't like to say but a lot of the time I have been raged at by Talimancers.

Liara for defenders. Too many Liara-mancers see every critic against her as an insult.

As much as I hate to admit it ( Miranda fan here ) you seem to have hit the nail on the head here.

Without flaming Ashmancers, she does say, she isn't a fan of aliens. She declares that herself, the haters/fans build on it even more. But blame BW for making Ash provide an open admission to being slightly on the "xenophobic" side.

It varies. Talimancers for a while then after they added Tali as a squadmate in 3 everyone came out of everywhere with the demands for their favorite character (which is still going on!) I still see a lot of Miranda for ME3 type posts though.

Yet some of the same people are rabid Tali fans even though she's a lot nastier about the Geth than Ash is about aliens.

Oh and someone who's said more dickish things about aliens than Ashley? Jacob, if you drop him in favour of Garrus he calls him a cuttlebone and someone on another site said his tone of voice reminds her of guys who call her a ****** after they hit on her and they find out she's a lesbian, then there's his charming comment to Tali when she comes onboard.

At least Garrus apologises to Tali for what he said in the elevator in ME1

Seeing as Im a Tali fan, I wont start defending her as my opinion will be too biased even if civil. I will just say this, If I lost my homeworld to a race, I'd hold an intense hate towards then also.

And I didn't mean to suggest that Ash is the only person with "xeno/racist" issues/comments. Just pointing out that any stick she gets regarding that is down to her/BW for her open comments.

And I never knew that about Jacob, Is that if you romance him with FemShep and dump him I guess?

Well therein may lie the problem; does Ashley ever apologize for what she said about aliens? (not a rhetorical question here; I actually don't know)

Also, you're right about Jacob, but everyone hates him anyway.

To be fair to Jacob, Shep pursued him although he thought it was a bad idea, and after she finally convinces him to go out with her, she dumps him for an alien? That's got to hurt.

Well, considering the same guy will dump her at the drop of a hat...

Never seen that myself. I've never gotten hate for posting pictures.

Anyway...

Tali fans. I don't call them the Taliban for nothing.  :P

NB - that's a huge exaggeration for good humour. It is not intended to be offensive.

I've never seen her apologize, but I've only played ME3 from one point of view so far. So if she does, it wasn't on the path I took.

I consider myself a crazy femShep fan. But I don't DISLIKE Meer. I've watched my boytoy play a lot of Sheps, and most of them male.  I do think it's a very different spin on Shepard, but it's not like I've been gnawing on his head until he plays femShep. And I just started my first manShep in ME1. Unfortunately, I messed with the creator a bit wrong and he is like an adorable puppy Shepard. I kind of want to hug him and be like "NO. YOU ARE TOO CUTE TO BE SHOT AT." The fact that Meer SOUNDS cute and a bit inoffensive with his paragon lines is helping. I will save the galaxy as the cutest happiest nice guy and no one can stop me. AHAHAH, POWER.

And that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic, except that I think being in JUST ONE fanbase is missing out. Romance, bromance, femShep or manShep, there's too many characters to fan over. And skip around the galaxy as/with. And romance. Anyone who does just one romance is MISSING OUT.

But that's just my opinion. No need to go spreading it around.

Ashley doesn't have much to say in ME3 seeing as they didn't bother much with her character

James, Tali, Garrus and Traynor. Maybe some others too - can't remember.
