I dont think i (we) are aggressive at all, we just lurk in our beloved Tali's forum section. I can take it if someone likes other characters, i dont do "tali pounce" to your throath if you dont like her. 

Most aggressive ones are femshep fans imo (both hungry teenagers and other ones), if not even hostile sometimes

After ME2 came out there was a lot of infighting among the 'mancers': Team Dextro romancers hated the ME1 LIs, Liara romancers hated Team Dextro, VS romancers hated everything because the VS got the shaft, alien romancers thought Ashley and Miranda were awful bigots, human romancers thought alien romancers were creepy perverts, Jack romancers hated Miranda, Miranda romancers hated Jack and Tali, and Jacob romancers existed supposedly.

Nowadays everything is much simpler: People who romanced someone other than Liara hate Liara, ME2 romancers hate everything because they got the shaft and Joker fans hate the writers and EDI.

Ugh.......some people on BSN just need to get over themselves for thinking their LI is far superior to another.....Every character is amazing in their own right. People just need to stop attacking other characters because they don't like them.

I like Liara as an LI best myself but I've done all the other romances and enjoy all the characters. And I totally support more Miranda, Thane, and Jack content for fans because they should have gotten a citadel date and satisfying romance scene and Tali should have gotten a date on the citadel and an in game face model.

I'm damn glad I'm one of the few that loves every single character Bioware has created and doesn't fight in flame wars over who is better. Anyone else who shares my view on this is awesome.

As far as the OP goes tho I'd say every damn fan thread flames about as much as any other. I've seen Tali fans hate on Liara fans, I've seen Miranda fans hate on Tali, I've seen Ashley fans hate on Miranda fans and the cycle goes on and on.....it's ridiculous. Luckily the only fans of each that I talk to are all openminded enough not to start a flame war because I like Liara best....

It started off as an analysis of Tali's sweat, trying to figure out what it'd smell and taste like. I quickly realised that most scents originate from bacteria, which would be minimal to non-existant for quarians.

The next best thing, would be urea. Urea is essential for the metabolism of mammals, and also a bonding agent (For say, p-cresol and o-cresol, two odor chemicals found in sweat. Though these likely aren't available to quarians), and it, and residues of the amino acids and chemicals used in its production are excreted through many different ways. Urine, sweat, etc.

My own biased view as an Ashmancer is - we're quite aggressively defending our fave character but usually don't (try to) hit others. Kaidan&Ash-fans are pretty much united. And we do receive a lot of fire from various fandoms, mostly statements like "Ashey's a racist and a religious bigot", "Kaidan is boring" or "human ME characters are boring in general".

I don't hate Liara, I do hate the lack of romance content for the rest of the bunch. Not just for Ash. For ALL.
Why does a certain fandom deserves a shafted romance?

Well ... I think you can say the same about most other fandoms as well. It's mostly "Shepard & LI".
Besides that, Kaidan + Ashley has its supporters in the Ashley thread. Dunno about the Kaidan thread 'though.

Ash + Wrex is a no go.

Ashley + m!Shep (OTP)
Ashley + Kaidan (semi-OTP - killed by Virmire )
Ashley + Pierce (a female OC (fem!Shep) of Aurora - too bad she "killed" Pierce)

Ashley + f!Shep (dead OTP since no romance possible)

Semi-shipping Ashley + Vega


Not shipping:

Ashley + Liara, Ashley + male alien, Ashley + Jack/Miranda/Jacob.


Not sure about:

My Shep's main LI is Kaidan, but i did Liara, tali, garrus, Miranda too, I dont dislike any romance all are good characters( err no coments on what they did to jacob), And about Liara hate.... i dont know why i meant is not her fault if devs didnt care about the other LIs and made more scenes for them, i think devs just used Liara as comodin, because she cant die, and used her. (also i love her character but i must admit i prefer her as Friend than LI)

You get pretty much a full list of romances I support with Ashley (however, I only write about the Shepley one - with some hints of Kaidan + Ashley.

I'm not a big fan of Ash + Wrex in a romantic way, but they are an impressive battle couple.

Yeah, I once thought something as simple as asking people not to post fanfictiony murder/abuse fantasies about Kaidan or Ashley was a reasonable request, but apparently it makes our fanbases rabid, crazy, and aggressive. 

My personal experience has been that there are individual douchebags in every group. If one person makes an obnoxious statement about a character I like, I don't automatically write off the entire fanbase of the douche's preferred character. I would have missed out on meeting some of my favorite people on the BSN if I had done that.

Well, let's hope she comes back. A lot of good faces vanished and she's one of them.

Yeah, I think Garrus + Ashley may work, they are -close friends- in my headcanon. I just can't see the sexiness in that pairing, therefore, I don't ship it. I'm not really against it on the other hand.

Liara + Ashley is one of the couples I fully don't support, mostly because the series states it already. It doesn't work. It's sexy, but doesn't work.


For the record: HATING Liara for BW's writers fault is a mistake. It only divides the fandom, but we definitely need to stand strong and together if we want more romantic interaction via DLC.
Just my opinion 'though.
