Agreed, many have already talked themselves into hating the EC.   . 

And just as many have set themselves up for a fall in putting their faith in something they know nothing about.

Sorry but that sounds like the people who slag off movies like amazing spiderman and ark knight rises and they haven't even seen them yet.  No one has the right ro do that when they have not seen them. 

Nolan locked himself in the editing room and didn't let executives see what he was doing......

He presented his final cut a few weeks ago.....

But Nolan has that privelage.........

Isn't best to wait until we see the EC unfold to make conclusions? When they say this, they are lowering the prospects (expectations is the word maybe?) of the people complaining, so they havent to redo it all. If people dont think there will be some gameplay, retcons, changes...if they actually change something, even one of these, people will take it better than if they know some of these were going to change.

Confirmations of what isn't going to be implemented along with Gamble's "The Catalyst stays!" twitter post do not inspire confidence.
Sure, it's a possibility that they're just lying, but given the available evidence, whether it's reliable or not, I have zero confidence in the EC. It is NOT a case of me being pessimistic. They give me no reason to be optimistic. None.

Which cannot help this ending at all.
See this is the problem with BioWare's vision of the EC. The ending is not in need of filling in certain bits.
It is BROKEN. Irrepairably broken. There is literally NOTHING you could do to fix the Normandy scene for instance that wouldn't end up with someone looking like an idiot. There is nothing you could add to the Catalyst that could ever justify surrendering to the enemy.
You would have to retcon and outright remove some of these scenes for it to work at all.

I am not making conclusions. I am just saying that BioWare inspire no confidence in me.
I am not negative for the sake of being negative, there is just currently no evidence that I should take the EC seriously as something that's going to fix the ending.

Sounds like you have made up your mind. Look at the tread here:  http://social.biowar.../index/11005521   It takes the endings AS-IS and still makes them much better.  That is without ANY changes. 

Now look at some of the fan-made scripts that include logical star-brat arguments and counter-arguments with your Shepard.  They also make it better. 

Sure I'd love to see them remove star brat and go with something like this fan-made YouTube video:   http://social.biowar.../index/11005521   I still tear up every time I watch it.

Also this "speculation" bit they wanted isn't going to pan out, imo. You give a game that revolves around choice and characters, strand em (super paraphrasing here) and then expect everyone to be like..oh hey so everything is ****** dorey now..

And this kind of back lash is surprising....I guess we gave them stuff to speculate on too.

This I am sure of. Believe it or not, some have *speculated* death is a possibility. Insane, if you ask me, so highly doubt it.

But ME, the voiceovers could be for a slideshow epilogue. Who knows? Atleast this probably rules out boring text.

I'm expecting most of the cast to return.  Including ME2 characters.

Easier said than done im sure. Extended cut did not seem to be a planned project. Voice actors may be busy with their own work, events or on vacation.

You took their statements as absolute.....don't do that. It's rather silly. THese were statements made within a couple of weeks of release when all they knew was that they'd need to make the EC....no speciffics or script of any kind at the time. That talk wasn't even aimed at us....that was all aimed at the investors who couldn't give a crap less about the game....all they heard was something that sounded like EA had things under control.

The developers have already been dropping hints at heavy retcons....even one that wouldn't really be possible without a dream or IT scenario. A lot of things were on the table and they are  fully aware how serious the situation is. There's also a chance that they really did mean the IT all along.....after all the IT is not really our making but simply a way to view their own content based on their own lore. There's A LOT of room there to fix the ending and they know they have no choice but to make it good.

Nonsense. Those epilogues are decent, but they immediately retcon the relays and the Citadel being destroyed.

Again, retcons. Also, it doesn't matter if Shepard can argue with Space Hitler. If it ends with Shepard doing his bidding regardless, the exercise is pointless.

Removal is not strictly necesarry, but a heavy re-write is. Unfortunately I don't see the EC doing that, not if it's as they have described it.
