From everything I've heard about the EC, these are the things they intend to address. They're not going to change that something happened in the ending but give you extra scenes that give you context and explain it better. For example, Joker fleeing. Some extra scenes showing why Joker is fleeing, how your squad got onboard, are they abandoning Shepard and where did they end up, wouldn't be "patronizing". Or what happened to Harbinger. Or what happened after the breath scene. We may even get additions to the battle on Earth, like the replacement of the cut dialogue/scenes showing allies in action. And the fact that the epilogue takes place AFTER the ending pretty much means the characters don't stay on that uncharted world (would be a very uniform epilogue if that was the case). And the fact that they're getting the major voice talent back (for a free DLC) speaks highly to its quality, since they never really did that even for PAID DLC.

There is certiainly cause for some optimism.

The Normandy fleeing makes no sense. Period. No explanation can justify this scene, it is out of place and revoltingly out of character.

Exactly. The only way I could see Joker fleeing is if Garrus/Tali/whoever was in your party, dragged your almost lifeless form back onto the Normandy and he was trying to get the hell out of Dodge before all of you ended up dead. Unless BioWare decided to make some point about trust ("People will always screw you and there are no real friends in life, much less honor!! Ha ha!!"...which does, oddly, seem to apply to them...), there's no way in hell Joker, of all people, would ditch your ass. Maybe Garrus would...maybe the rest of them would (Kaidan has already proven he'll turn his back on you if the situation doesn't suit him), but Joker? Hell no. 

That's why my opinion is much the same as yours. BioWare went through too much trouble telling everyone how awesome they are and how awesome the ending is to actually change anything with the DLC. And unless it is changed, it still sucks and makes no sense.

That's interesting, though he left a response tweeet about it up (about how he wasn't keeping it a secret).

I wasn't trying to extrapolate anything from the tweet I screencapped; was just taking it at face value and sharing.

Kinda funny that the fan base that longs to hear Harbinger's voice is the same one that absolutely loathed that voice in ME2.

Lots of VO is great, but voice acting on its own is not going to cut it. BioWare has to do something really exceptional with this to even come remotely close to pleasing and appeasing fans. Mediocrity isn't going to cut it. There are serious issues with the ending that must be addressed, and these can't simply be patched up and made to go away by throwing a few lines of epilogue dialogue at them.

I never complained about Harbingers voice in ME2.

Sure it didnt have the same level of cold confidence than Sovereign had, but he had his own style and defnately wasn't a deal breaker for me. I hope to see him return in the EC

One of the things I was looking forward to mostly with ME3 prior to release was having the chance to talk to some of the other Reapers as well, not too much as to take away their mystery, but a bit more than what we got with the Rannoch Reaper.

They don't have to change the plot or record new lines. This would simple at least make it somewhat feel like there is less auto-dialogue in the game =/,
