Here is hoping the mass effect 2 cast won't get sidelined.....again.

Yeah bring Keith (Last name can't remember) in to do more Thane along with Maggie for Samara please.

Keythe Farley plays Thane, there is a bunch of Keith's in the cast though.

Scrip must be almost done. Just give up on demanding the Catalyst's removal now.

I just saw this on Twitter, and let's just say I'm excited.  Probably foolish of me to get my hopes up so high (not nearly as high as pre-ME3 release), but I don't want to dismiss EC just yet.

I can't get excited about something that is probably going to crash and burn worse than a flaming TU-95 beaking apart before smashing into Everest.

I try to to stay optimistic.  My biggest grievance was how the ending discarded the characters, and now they're bringing back their VAs.  I still keep hoping the writers will retcon the Normandy retreat since it was so unpopular (even with a number of pro-enders), but that would require "changing" the ending.  Oh, sigh...

There are three things that need to "go" or as Javik would say "Be thrown out the airlock."

1. Relays Destruction

2. Citadel Destruction

3. Joker turning into a coward

I wont explain why tonight, I'll come back tomorrow and explain why however. It's late over here. lol

Keep an eye out for any sign of Keith Szarabajka. If he's being recorded, there's a darn good chance it's Harbinger. If it's Harbinger then... something big's coming.

This  When i hear Keith Szarabajka is involved, ill be more optimistic.

We need Harbinger.

I don't get why people are so excited about VAs doing the recording.
It does not matter that they will say stuff, it will matter what they will say. Arguably it could be a lot worse if all this effort will be put towards "expanding" and "clarifying", as they intend. Basically, if instead just stardchild spewing nonsense, you will also get Garrus actually telling you "Yeah, Shepard, it all makes sense, make choice NAW!", will this make it better really?

Hope they don't cheap out on the VO's like they did the original ending. Somehow I picture this as the extended cut

Sort of a shame they're putting all these people to work on an ending that can't be salvaged. I mean if this is the lengths they're going to then why not just rewrite the whole damn thing?

Sigh.

I'm going to say right now that there is going to be gameplay in this. I really don't care what was said originally.

Eh...I don't see how this is news, Did anyone expect the Extended cut to NOT need additional VO work? BW have said that they didn't expect to have to do this, so it's not like they've had "Extra clarity and confirmation" up their sleeve just waiting to be released.

Okay, I'm saying this one more time; the Cataylst giving circular logic is a myth. It was perpetuated by some disgruntled fans and AngryJoe because they did not like the twist that the Reapers weren't actually bad guys. They assume what the Catalyst says isn't objectively true, but clearly it is.

I think this is the first confirmation that the VAs who said they are doing ME3 recording are actually recording specifically for Extended Cut.

That "LOTS" word looks encouraging.

Though, as an afterthought, I still don't really see how EC is going to fix everything - they should've just redone the ending and saved themselves some hassle.

I really hope Martin Sheen is doing some VO, he's kind of core for IT to be "canon".

Screw art? Is this what real Mass Effect fans say? Because if so I don't want to be a real Mass Effect fan.

To be fair, the word has become somewhat tainted round these parts.

All of you guys posting stupid memes need to go away. You're adding nothing to this discussion except spam and frankly, you  guys wouldn't even know art if it smacked you in the face.

Funny, you sound like BioWare.

If this was really about "artistic integrity" they'd be making sure everything worked properly in the game so we could appreciate the "art" in all its glory.  At the moment, for example, most people have a Monet that looks more like Susan Boyle, and that's just the face import issue.

I would just like to point this one out:

Patrick Weekes tweet:

[snip] Definitely listening to fans wrt ideas, though.

Now, I know we're all still reeling from past "we're listening" but I think I have a little more faith this time around. With the fanbase still rather completely up in arms over the ending, they have little to gain by not making (very) good on anything they say. Their silence, which I completely expected, should not be unexpected by anyone.

I still wish Bioware would use their own forums or website more to communicate information like this. Twitter is lovely, but things get lost fast.

Listening, accepting and implenting are three different things altogether, and although i realise its Weekes....still not convinced.

"Listening to" does not necessarily mean "Obeying". It just one of the meanings. And because of this, it's a good PR word - people hear what they want to hear, then you could easely refute them, that it was just their (wrong) interpretation.
If somebody listens to you and does something completely opposite, just out of spite, he still listened to you.
