No, it wouldn't. And there is an ending with Shepard alive. The epilogue scenes are after the ending.

It would make less sense if there is an EC without Shepard.

Well, its already better than my worst case scenario so I can't be anything but optimistic.

I just hope the Normandy crash is either resolved or removed entirely. It just isn't needed.

So far, only Sbarge (Kaiden) and Helfer (EDI) I think.

I think this is a good sign. It isn't cheap, hiring actors. Especially when it's for something you're releasing for free.

Imo it's *very* likely that both VAs of Shephard will record their EC lines when they are in the studio for the next story DLC...so them not doing any voice over work at the moment doesn't mean anything in regards to the EC.

This is the reason I think they're actually taking this seriously. Colour me optimistic.

I have no doubts they taking this very seriously, but this is not reason to be optimistic.
Unfortunately their efforts up to now seemed to be directed into adamant defence of own viewpoint and lengthy measures to avoid admitting that they were wrong.
Therefore I expect some massive clarification effort - just to eliminate all means of speculation that makes any kind of "better" headcanon possible (like IT). "Yes, that's what we wanted, so that's what happened, and we will confirm it tenfold to eliminate any shread of hop... err doubt ;p"
