So I took out the disc after playing a perfectly fine multiplayer session to watch a movie, I put it back in it's case so there's no chance of damage. When it finished I put the disc back in to play some more.
It gets past the Bioware logo to the image of Earth loading screen and is COMPLETELY STUCK.
I've reset multiple times, waited a day in between the last try and this and it will do nothing.
It's not my disc drive as I've put in about half a dozen other games and all play PERFECTLY.

 Edit:
Randomly started working again? No clue why, hopefully it'll stay that way

I'm having the exact same issue. How long did it take for yours to go back to normal?

I now have this issue. I put in the disc, hit X to start the game, the first logo doesn't even appear, screen stays black though i hear a second or so of the sound before it cuts out. Pressing the PS button has no effect, but I can get back to the XMB by ejecting the disc via the button on my PS3. The fact that my room is currently over 83 degrees could be a factor, maybe the excess heat is tripping a failsafe designed to keep the PS3 from overheating under the load of a game? I'm gonna leave it on the XMB for another 10 minutes so the fan can run and maybe get the temp down from the Folding@Home it was doing all day, then I'm gonna shut it down so it'll go down to room temperature overnight and try it tommorrow(I'm letting the fan run so the temp doesn't crash hard and to minimize the thermal impact on the board)

Man, this is annoying, I finally find time to do my part in Operation Silencer and ME3 won't load. I really wish my PS3 had an entry on the System menu that would tell you what the current system temperature is, might be helpful in figuring out  if it's running too hot on account of the higher room temperature

Edit: It worked. Left my PS3 off overnight, turned it on a short time ago, and ME3 now loads up properly again.
