n7 level = means **** , being good or bad it just means you've played countless hours and being good or bad you still getting xp and leveling up.

IF and i mean IF n7 promoting added something it would make sense, but all it does is reset all your work on the character and add +10 to your lv wich means squat.

its time for people stoping acting like they own the game and being ****s.

Believe it or not, the only thing I hate about promoting characters is having to edit the names/appearances again.

I gave up on looking for random gold matches. Even with a 200+ n7 rank, a headset and decent leveled gold weapons I still get kicked most of the time. I'm content with playing random silver matches when alone, then jumping on gold when I've got a couple friends on who want to play.

EDIT: A couple of the times I was kicked, I'd get a message saying "Sorry, we're waiting for somebody," which makes me wonder why they didn't just set the game to private.

Funny that people say they only play for credits but then want a high N7 to play with them.

LOL At the hypocrisy

People want a good, well-geared player to play with them, not a high N7.  It just so happens, however, that there is some correlation between the two.

You can get kicked even if you are well geared. Most people on gold don't kick when you bring a bw I but some do (most understand hoe bad NRG is the store).

Personally i wouldn't kick you from a gold game just for your N7 level or gun level but then again I have more patience than most. Now if you refuse to use your mic then the odds of being kicked go way up. Also if you end up hurting the team more than helping I will kick vote you once back in the lobby. I too am here to have fun after all.

You might get away with rolling an Asari Adept using the Carnifex, since your shots mean less than your powers.

My manifest is pretty dire and my N7 rank is stuck at 120 because i've become attached to my characters and the names I gave them(not to mention I keep getting reset cards). Yet I hardly ever get kicked from golds, maybe i've just been lucky in my matches.

I did get kicked the half second before the match started loading the other day when I was hosting, even though we had a great match before that. It was really strange too because I loaded up into a game all on my own only I couldn't move and I had no hud so I died straight away and bled out. When I checked right after, no one else from the group was in a game either, the game obviously didn't know how to handle loading without a host.

Let that be a cautionary tale to you kickers, sometimes it will kill you in a cruel way for your actions!

Anyway a general kicking rule should be to try out one match with each new player, if they are terrible in some way or are leeching then just let the team die when it inevitably falls apart and kick them once you get back out.
Also don't use equips if you aren't sure about a player.

Sadly this thread and OP justifies kicking of low-levels. Because they're inexperienced, doesn't have strong characters and good weapons. Also OP is a cheater that stopped cheating only because of fear of banning.

Also, about my post about using the glitch, I did use it several times last week, but then I saw the post from the moderator about cheating and how they're kicking people off mp for using the glitch, so I don't use it anymore.

Hilarious read btw.

Honestly, I think that is horrible advice. Just my opinion though.
I don't go against my better judgement anymore. If someone has a Claymore and Widow on an Asari Adept, I'm not going to play with them, they are terrible players that need to learn a lesson on someone else's time.
I work for a living and when I play I don't play to waste time "hoping" the other players are good.
I want to KNOW that they are good and know what they are doing in Silver and Gold.
Usually giving someone the benefit of the doubt ends up as a 15-20 minute waste of time.

Not sure if anyone asked or answered but how are you considered lazy if you do not promote?  You're pretty stupid if you consider that being lazy.

And how could I forget to add in:

-5 Cobras
-5 Medi-Gels
-5 Ops Survival Packs

:pinched:

Nope. Never again, at least not until the Jumbo Equipment Pack comes back and I feel like generously dragging a newb through Gold...

Which, come to think of it... I'm not a generous person.

Well I was really thinking for when you aren't sure about a player, maybe I should have explained that, it's common sense to kick a power based class using heavy weapons.
But if someone has appropriate weapons at a low level or low weapon rank then I will always give them the benifit of the doubt, I've played with some fantastic people this way, it's almost entirely based on player skill.
In fact I rarely end up with bad matches, i've also met some really friendly players this way.

Also isn't working for a living a reduntant phrase? As all of us apart from children and the occassional very lucky person have to work for a living.

Nah, I don't use consumables with randoms. Only if we succesfully finished one pub game.

Ouch, you could do with another of my rules, if you can tell the team isn't working out then just let everyone die before using a second consumable of one type. I rarely have to do it but it works.

Gold is for experienced players, I am not suprised you are getting kicked. Nobody likes dying on lvl 7 or 8 after using 5 medigels, because low lvls died in every round. Although I have played lvl 1 Engineer once before and today Justicar lvl 5 and everything was ok.

I've never understood the mentality behind kicking people in your position. If it's any consolation, you'd be welcome to play Gold with me.

The best advice I can give is to play Silver for a while. Once you're around N7 150 you should be good, and try and use Rare and Ultra-Rare weapons when possible to impress people. Then, change to your favorites before the match begins.

I'm with you.  I rarely kick people.  There are the obvious situations like you got 3 great people and then a n7 5 comes into gold.  Or a lvl 1 character.  Those ARE insta-kicks.

Other than that I'm willing to play with anyone.  (Or if I'm not I leave the room honestly).   I used to roll with a sniper krogen soldier and I held my own.  Also a sniper adept it worked alright.  Vanguard too.  You can do it.

Also sometimes I appreciate the bad players cause I really get a good laugh.  Just the other night I carried a team on gold with a lvl 6 krogan vanguard.  I was just in tears cause I was dropping people  and rezzing people.  It was hilarious and we ended up winning.  (I did leave the room after that).  I even held off 2 primes solo because everyone else died.  Biotic charge!

I'm not a fan of the N7 Ranking system. The number doesn't tell you anything about the abilities of the player.

I've kicked players before on Gold who show with a N7 ranking of 20 and their character at like lvl 12 playing an adept with a crappy shotgun and a sniper rifle.

As a support player I need to have solid teammates as my builds are usually pretty squishy.  I hate getting stuck with a Bronze level player in a gold game.  I look mainly at character level and weapon loadouts before judging N7 rankings.

EDIT:  That being said I've only kicked 3 or 4 people for reasons other than taking too long to get ready.

Wow so many people in this topic are pedantic about team mates. So what if he has a Widow I? I played SI on Gold for ages with a Widow II because of RNG. No big deal.

N7 of 90 is fine. Seriously, people who say they would kick TC are part of the problem - if you can't handle 1 person who doesn't have ultimate gear then you must not be very confident in your own abilities. Gold isn't so hard that you need high level gear. I only have Carnifex III (or IV now I think) on my Asari Adept, who needs X?

I say this regardless of TC's glitching or whatever else was brought up. The general idea matters. No wonder people are turned off Gold early.

Also my N7 is only around 200 now because over the last few days I promoted up from 130 ish. I've only been kicked from Gold once.

You're seriously trying to argue that you don't need high level gear on Gold... because you succeed without it... on an ASARI ADEPT.

Wow. I just... I mean...

Yeah, words are failing me here.
