Getting kicked because of my N7 ranking is getting old...

Funny that people say they only play for credits but then want a high N7 to play with them.
LOL At the hypocrisy
There's no hypocrisy. We have only the loadout and N7 rating by which to judge someone. If they have a mike I'm 99% less likely to kick.
Why I kick: Because a good team means a 20-30 minute experience I enjoy. A bad team or a team with 1 really stupid player means 30-40 minutes of hell at best, and no wave 6 payout at worst. Also, wiping on wave 8 is equally aggravating. Thus, without a different way of telling player skill, I look at level, class, loadout, and N7 rating in that order.
N7 rating under 120 means they DEFINITELY have not played each class fully. This is important because if they've spent time getting to understand each class's mechanics, they can better understand their role in the team and thus play better.
The higher the N7 rating, the more often they promoted. Now, unless your going to tell me you nailed your spec for each and every character and know for a fact its perfect (which you can't because you haven't tried out any other spec), you haven't experimented with different specs/loadouts to determine an optimal build for your play style. That's the true value in the N7 ratings. Past 200/300 they get pointless and can sometimes indicate a lazy player.
Another reason N7 ratings get higher is because the player has maxed his/her gold weapons and needs to promote or else waste all that character cards. Saving up 7 million credits should bring all classes back up to 18-20.

If you're an N7 350+ and wanna play as a human soldier you'll play.
Depends on the combination, at least i judge that way. If only people were as smart as i am bro.

Low N7 weapons?
Kicked.
Playing a lvl 20 or a lvl 1 doesn't really matter to me, as long as you got good weapons (high N7 weapons) and/or extended experience (high N7 rating).

I only kick people from Gold matches if their N7 is less than 100 and their weapons are level 1, or they're using SMG Ultralight Materials and don't listen to me when I explain to them that those don't work.
Also if someone has a name like xCyB3r_Fr3aKx it's a fairly safe bet they're bad at the game.
I don't understand people without mics, either. They cost like $10 and without a mic you're not an asset to the team no matter how high your skill level, because you can't do something as simple as warn me about the Phantom sneaking up behind me.

but is it the person without a mic's fault that your situational awareness sucks?
on topic, I try not to kick low level people on Gold until I play at least one round with them and they prove to be a burden and a frustrating teammate to play with. but sometimes I just don't want to bother, either.

Plain bull****. You absolutely don't need mic to play well. I hope I'll never play with you. If you let phantom to backstab you, you're not that great that you think about yourself

The reason why i don't kick people? Simple you can't grow in experience if you can't play in matches, its something i have seen on all three Challenges even Bronze for Spirits sake. Granted i may have doubts about their skill i tend to stick close to them and if possible give them help over the mic. But that's just me.

The fact that anyone would even argue this point is proof of how dense the average player is!

Low n7 or ridiculous loadout and not using a mic is one thing, but just being unwilling to play with some just for not having/using a mic is absurd.

Gold isn't so hard that you need high level gear. I only have Carnifex III (or IV now I think) on my Asari Adept, who needs X?
You're seriously trying to argue that you don't need high level gear on Gold... because you succeed without it... on an ASARI ADEPT.
Wow. I just... I mean...
Yeah, words are failing me here.
*facepalm* Ever heard of irony? 2 points here. 1 is that ludicrous example shows the stupidity of kicking in general. Widow I on SI or Carnifex I on AA? Neither matter over having the X version of them. (Relates to TC's manifest).
Secondly I don't have 200% cooldown with it, which some people would find kick worthy. Which again highlights the ridiculousness of some kickers.
They really need to invent a sarcasm font.

Or how dense you are that you would kick someone using a proper loadout just because they dont have a mic
Read my post again. Did I say I kick people without mics? I simply said I do not UNDERSTAND them. I have played games with people that do not have mics and had success - but a mic only costs $10 or less, and even worse, having a mic but not using it because you have some kind of weird social anxiety is just sub-optimal.

If they have one and they're not using it they might just be in a live chat and can't communicate with you, anyway.

I have a mic, but I do not always use it for my games. Many players are aware of their surroundings.

Mics are an valueable advantage. All those times I wish I had my mic on, including one time when our two snipers were about to be jumped by five Geth Pyro units... "TURN AROUND! I'm shooting in the direction behind you!"

To be fair, have you ever entered a lobby with 2 (or 3) people on mics having their own conversations? And when in the game you chip in with a warning or whatever and they just ignore you? Then after one of them gets killed by the phantom you just warned them about, suddenly that guy yells 'OMG we gut a phantom holy $$#%'
Yeah. Not fun. Plus some people might only play 1 or 2 games online. Not worth going out to buy a mic for it. I wouldn't go out now and buy one if I hadn't started using an old usb one my brother doesn't use.
