sure, the level of the weapon totally garantee if the guy s*cks or not, since nobody never done gold with low level weapons, right?

most of the people that play (and win) gold, won some gold with low level weapons before having level X rares, tha tI can assure you, so it's a really stupid reason to kick someone.

I'm only in the 90s, yet when I join groups with people on gold who are essentially about 300 or higher, no matter what class, weapons, level, or anything else I have my character set on, 9 out of 10 times I get kicked. The lack of trust based on the N7 rank is astounding. I've only ever voted to kick someone when they are trying to play a class that's level 1-3 on gold, but never for their rank(unless their N7 is 10 or lower while playing gold<_<). Am I just an unlucky case or does this happen a lot to others?

Just promote a char, or play with every class to reach at least 120. It doesn't really mean if you are good or bad player, but people will stop kicking you. It's not that hard to get at level 20..

Like you trust a n7 90 with a widow I to be good, I personally played gold with friends 3 days after the release untill we were geared up proper.

Its not hard to gear up proper jeez, this man even admits hè credit glitched and you idiots defend him.

Good job BSN, you defend cheaters!

That was then, this is now.   People don't wanna deal with it.

Getting your commons, uncommons and rares to X is a joke.  No one expects you to be running around with a Paladin X, Black Widow X, etc but we expect you to run around with some decent weapon/class make up in gold if we don't know you.

I'm not defending him, I'm just saying it's a stupid reason to kick. Yesterday I played with a level 45 batarian, don't remember the weapon but I'm sure was low level. I won 3 golds with this guy in my team, he was not toping the score, but was very helpful.

I only kick if it's visible that the guy have no idea what he is doing, like human vanguard not hosting or adepts dressed as rambo..

Most people which I play with havent got a clue, just played reactor Cerberus gold with an AA SE and a HS, i was GI (love it)

Scores :

-175312 me
-39675 AA
-36784 HS
-20743 SE

I got a n7 of 145 on my 2nd account. I agree that it says jack sh*t, but all of them had n7 of >500, yet the AA couldnt place proper stasis nor could they place proper BE's

Yet if I see a n7 of <90 with I or II rares then ill kick him.

/end thread

Low n7 with low weapon = Often not a good thing.

Unfortunately, it might not be JUST your N7 level that's getting you kicked. If I saw someone with low leveled weapons AND a low N7 level, just just tells me they haven't been playing very long and probably shouldn't be in Gold yet.

for me it is this, for the most part. Basically, though, it is really the weapon level. My experience is that N7 even inthe 200-300 range, or higher, if they have a level 1 rare weapon, there is a chance they are not goign to be very helpful. I honestly am surprised when I come across a N7 400+ and they are sporting a carnifex 1. I don't know how you get to that level and not have a collection of IIIs and IVs. I am at 170, and everything is above a V (many Viis and VIIIs, and 1 X) except the graal(II). I guess I was uinlucky on that a bit..., but most everythign else has leveled pretty evenly. I don't promote, but if I did, I suppose I would be in the 300-400s.

What are you guys talking about. Kicking people for low level weapons is ridiculous. Do you even know how the packs work. Some people are just unlucky with the items that get unlocked when buying packs. It's not like they have control over what weapons get leveled up. It's all the luck of the draw when it comes to the packs. Kicking them for low level weapon is idiotic. I honestly don't even care what weapons people use or what level the weapon is. That weapon works for them and thats what they like to use. Who am I to say otherwise. People need to get off their high horse. It's a game. It's supposed to be fun. Let people have there fun. If you wanna sit there with your slow firing crap sniper rifles then be my guest. But it doesn't mean everyone else has to do the same.  Just remember I can get nearly the entire clip off in the same time it takes you to get one shot off. So you tell me who's doing more damage.

Your bad luck with RNG doesn't mean you can't have maxed out weapons asap.

I've had my blues, silvers and golds all maxed before I even hit 200.  And during that whole time I've had N7s to use inbetween.

Its not idiotic to kick someone with a low level N7, low level character with a low level weapon on gold.  Because some people don't wanna deal with it.  Hell I've even been kicked for bring a Salarian Infiltrator at level 20 with a BW2 because they didn't like my class.  Its nothing to be cry about when people in the lobby don't want you around, just leave and find another.

It really does depend on who you are playing with. I am just over N7 700, and played a Gold round with the Valiant 1. No problem, took first place. Next session I joined I got kicked right away. Amazing....

in general I look at weapons. Despite N7 level, low level weapons make it look like you're a relatively new player and simply may not be ready yet for Gold. I am not big on kicking though, and if I see some players trying to kick another, when I think that player would probably be fine, I leave the session.

As mentioned, perhaps play some more and promote, just for the sake of not looking like a noob, although plenty of us know it doesn't really matter at the end of the day.

Well if you dont get any good upgrades in packs then you can't max out weapons. So luck has a lot to do with it. The only way to upgrade weapons is by getting them in a pack. If you don't get the uprgade then the guns level won't move. There's no other way around it. You either get it or you don't. It's really not a hard concept to grasp.

I highly doubt that. That feat doesn't even seem mathematically possible. So I'm gonna call BS on that one.

I agree that low level character's should be kicked from gold. But low level N7 or low level weapons is fine. For all you know they don't play the game all that much but their still good at it. Don't forget you were a low level once. People always neglect that fact and they think because their N7 is over 200 that their god or something and anyone below them is worthless.

It's like when I play COD by my brothers house. I don't have the game and I only play it when I go by his house. We play split screen online and I destroy people who are like 10-15 prestige. They have all that experience and they play the game a lot but it doesn't mean their good. They get owned by someone who barely touches the game. When it comes down to it, its the person behind the controler that matters.

It's not pleasant being kicked, but it is somewhat understandable. Playing Gold usually costs consumables, like missiles, ammo, medigels and whatnot. If you fail a mission, you may not even recoup that investment. So players want someone whom they feel will not let the team down.

Why do you want to play Gold anyway? Why not play Bronze and Silver until you have at least unlocked all classes and most weapons? Have you ever sucessfully played a Gold mission? I've played a few Gold games here and there and it really depens on the quality of the team if you succeed or not. On Bronze or Silver, with a half-decent team you can usually breeze through and not even use rockets or expendables, other than the odd medigel or ammo.

Or play with friends.

I play gold maybe a few times a week, and 80-90& of the time, I complete it with full extraction, or at least make it to waves 9-11.

And my main weapon is a Black Widow I. I tend to try and stick to a support role, using my drone to bolster shields, while snapping off as many headshots as I can. Tends to go well with a good group, but there have been times where I found myself kiting Banshees around the map, which can take ages...

But anyway, a lot of my time out of gold matches is spent doing bronze/silver, earning some quick creds so that I can recoup my losses from medpacks/missiles used.

Nope I've had pretty much all my normal weapons maxed and now i'm slogging it for N7 rares which are replaced by character cards.

Also if you've played this game long enough you know damn well better on how to get the weapons and mods off your store purchase list.  IE buy recruit till everything is maxed then move to vet, buy till max, move to spec.  It doesn't take long nor is it that hard.

Most of the people you play with in random lobbies WILL kick you if you have low N7 level as people will believe you have no idea what you're doing.  And sorry to say it but 80% of the time you can go with that call as most of them are clueless on what they're doing so they have every right if they dont want to play with you to kick you.

Skills be damned about this game as the right combo of class + weapon + equipment will make anyone look better on the scoreboard.  Sorry to say it but if you don't got the right stuff get ready for the swift kick in the balls out the door.

the fact that you have voted to kick people from gold cause they have a level 1-3 on gold shows that you need more eXPerince with the game.

personally, i vote to kick people without mics AND low n7 ratings...for their lack of eXPerince :police:

Well, that is a brutal truth. no matter how skilled you are, a level 1 character would not last 5 seconds in a Gold match. You start with the Bronze, at about level 10-12 you switch to Silver, and from 16+ onwards, you can -try- some gold matches (But chances are, you might still be kicked.)

If its friends you can gold with a level 1 easily

if you're pugging it you're getting kicked

if its FBWGG, its easy.

We play a lot with RANDOMS, last night we had over 10000 n7 between three of us on a random/random/gold and went with an n7 30ish. Reason is that he had a mic.

Talk to the lobby and you will be shocked. Its the silent guys wielding GPR II on a Krogan Vanguard that scare us.

I have played a lot golds with my friend in the last few days. We always kick people with low level weapons. I dont care whether your N7 is 120 or 1000 it means nothing, it is just a pure grind. I play mostly on my 20lvl char so I dont promote. But if we see people with Avenger V, Disciple III, etc. in our lobby (gold dif.) we kick them.

Weird. I do pretty well on gold with a Black Widow I. But then, it is an N7 rare, so I guess it gives me an advantage. Well, that and the mods I fit into it.

I have the complete opposite problem lately. I promoted all of my characters again, now N7 494, and I keep getting kicked from Bronze lobbies for having a level 5 Infiltrator. On Bronze! Who the **** kicks low levels on the difficulty meant for them!?

It just happened 4 times in a row. The only way I even got it to level 5 was because I joined a match mid-game so I couldn't get kicked. The elitists make this game blow.

Bioware already confirmed that the game doesn't work like that. Even if something you have is maxed you can still get things for it in the packs. Its there way of getting people to play more.
