Also if you've played this game long enough you know damn well better on how to get the weapons and mods off your store purchase list.  IE buy recruit till everything is maxed then move to vet, buy till max, move to spec.  It doesn't take long nor is it that hard.

Bioware already confirmed that the game doesn't work like that. Even if something you have is maxed you can still get things for it in the packs. Its there way of getting people to play more.

Dafaq you talking about?  Weapons and mods don't repeat.

Whoever suggested just ranking up: it worked and I'm no longer getting kicked nearly as much. At this point I couldn't care less if this topic vanished, but if people want to keep it then whatever. No more problems here.
To those who criticize me because of Widow 1... Really? You'll judge a person over one weapon? I try to play using my Carnifex III mostly.

N7 above 150+ is just a grind and has nothing to do with skill. Many times I get group up with 1000+N7 players and they end up with 20K score on gold.

Got booted the other day by some high N7 folks with no fanfare the other day. I'm sitting at 352 and I see no reason to press further until new promotions/content demands it, but my number being where it is shouldn't be a crime that I have to answer for.

I got booted on a bronze match for having, I would imagine, too high of an N7 level (the other three were between 20 and 40, as I recall). That said, I appreciated the reverse elitism - I have been known for kicking players from matches that are clearly unprepared (my favorite so far: Sub level 10 Kroguard with a Widow I and Revenant I on gold), though I give most players the benefit of the doubt, especially if it's Firebase ATM.

That said, N7 level is by no means everything - just an indication that you've been through the ropes with most of the characters. In fact, many of the worst players I've teamed with have had suspiciously high (2000ish) N7's.

My humble suggestion (and I'm sure this has been echoed on this board) is to grind though silver matches until you've found a character build or two that you're really comfortable with (high survival rate, good scores, clutch kills, revives and objectives). Get all classes you like to 20 and promote them once, then get your faves to at least the high teens again. In the meantime, build your arsenal. Do this for a few nights, and you'll have all the cred you need to avoid getting booted

Just get used to it. I get kicked by 1000+ players regularly for being level 420.

Things is, I have enough time in to be close to 1000. I just stopped promoting at 420 because I finally figured out the builds I wanted to use for each character, 750 is plenty of war assets, and I got sick of leveling up. Also don't care where I am on leaderboards.

I may promote one more time just to get off of rank 420 and move up to rank 450 though. Getting sick and tired of being associated with smoked-brain toking tards because of the number. "huhu, 420, huhu, wish I had that level, huhu"

FWIW, I never vote to kick people unless we're all sitting in the lobby waiting and they're just sitting there apparently AFK, or I play a match with the person and they are A-W-F-U-L.

Well, that is a brutal truth. no matter how skilled you are, a level 1 character would not last 5 seconds in a Gold match. You start with the Bronze, at about level 10-12 you switch to Silver, and from 16+ onwards, you can -try- some gold matches (But chances are, you might still be kicked.)

i guess i always play with a level 1 character on all difficulty levels since i never put points in the fitness skill [except for krogans]

my life and shields are the same from level 1 to level 20 and so is the weapon damage.

and yes, i last more than 5 seconds

Honestly, the best course of action for you may just be to get your n7 rating higher. Play a lot of silver and promote a class. I have an n7 only past 120 on my main account, and I don't get kicked.

>Logs on Xbox
>Has 201 N7
>Joins gold game; has BW I + Lv. 20 QI
>Instant lobby kick. 3 guys; N7 of 1365, 385 and 565

I hate this new "I'm going to kick you, thinking you have very little experience" system.
I can hold out on my own, and I AM the medic of the team, at least getting 10+ Revives each match.
The best part? The setup was Firebase White: Geth :Gold.
I laughed.

N7 rating under 120 means they DEFINITELY have not played each class fully. This is important because if they've spent time getting to understand each class's mechanics, they can better understand their role in the team and thus play better.
...

That's a crock of horse manure. (Your implication that lower ranked players suck...  which is exactly what you implied - 'played each class fully' is a candy coated version of it - is what I'm referring to)

My Geth Grenadier (infiltrator) is level 20, has falcon X (the only acceptable choice for that build IMO), usually places 2nd in gold on any map I know in random PUGs, and has an N7 rating of 111.   The last 5 or 6 matches on FBW practicing for the weekend challenge all made it with full extractions in around 20 mins...   Didn't see any N7 rating increase... still at 111....  and in the random PUGs my damage/crowd control wil often carry a crappy team (as long as they stick near me and don't go running around the map like a bunch of crack-addled monkies).

This character has 2 roles.  First, AoE crowd control that softens everything up nicely, second is damage and kills, and both are accomplished at the same time.  This will net a fair share of kills but, more importantly, if you position yourself to stun and soften incoming waves at a choke pont, you make EVERYTHING easy pickings for your snipers and other squad mates (but snipers especially).

The fact that I refuse to promote and, instead, keep playing, has NOTHING to do with anything.

More likely you got kicked because most people I play with that have 1200 N7 usually play terrible. Occassionally they don't but most of the time they do.

The joke is on you, humans. My N7 is like 400something and I suck. N7 rank is a silly method of judging skill.

Stop stereotyping.  Eventually you will reach there.  Suddenly a higer N7 dictates terrible?  No.  Stop being an ass.

Or more likely you didn't know the circumstances.  there were three of us, the other two were friends, about Lvl 100, more likely they kicked me to make room for their other friends to join last minute.  Was Silver.

If that were the case they would have made it private. My n7 is 210 which is where it is staying unless there is another commendation pack requiring promotion. Call it whatever you want but most people with a 1200+ n7 rank suck, either they pick a krogan and try to melee every enemy on gold or use avenger/geth marshmallow shooter and go down every time an enemy comes near them.

I used to vote kick high n7's but now I leave them so I can throw it in there face when they do terrible. Which they do. Every time. Also I'm not an ass, I'm actually a nice guy. I cant tell you how many gamers have gotten free credits while playing with me because they sure as **** didn't do anything during the game to earn it.
