I've just realized that the tile hook points --that annoying habit of some tiles to automatically snap a placeable into a predetermined position-- can be deleted directly by selecting the tile and looking at the tile properties. Also hidden in there was a list of associated placeables, which doesn't seem to clear properly when a placeable is moved or deleted.
Since the hook points are also used for doors, that might explain why doors have a habit of all jumping to the same door frame. Retagging the doors seems to fix this.
My odd thought, though, was that if tiles already have this data structure describing what placeables should go where, then maybe it would be possible to create a plug-in that could automatically dress tiles, just like NWN tiles already had placeables.
