Has anyone with the 360 version been able to romance Leliana ? Once I get through her initial conversations nothing no quest no romance no matter how high I get her meter. Am I missing something I given her all her plot gifts and more, she gigles for pete sake but talk to her and nothing there.

There are specific speech options you have to take to romance Leliana. I did her on my first playthrough with no problem.

Yeah I too have a problem romanceing Leliana I got her to the point where my character kissed her but now she won't go any further or even let me initiate her personal quest (did I spell that right..never was a good speller) anyway I heard a rumor if you raise Leliana's approval rating to high to fast than you miss out on finishing the romance and her personal quest. I found if you dump her you can eventually go on her personal quest...but for roleplaying purposes well I would rather not have her veiw my pc as a self centered ass. If anyone can be of help or let me know if Bioware has said anything about a patch it would be most appreciated.

LOL it's easy... but she is the only character that MUST have an aproval rating of 100 to initiate an intimate romance, you just have to play the romantic sap long enough to get what you want. Reguardless if you are male or female.  Just be sweet when you speak with her... and give the correct gifts and you should be knocking her blue satin boots well before the landsmeet.

Yup, she is easy, gift like crazy, make you choices like a goodie two shoes, also if you ask about beautiful women in the chantry, you get to ask if her about her fruit. If you do it right you can bed her in one main mission.

her approval rating no longer goes up no matter what gifts I give her no number showing how much she likes it appears she simply swoons and says how thoughtful it was of my pc. And unfortanetly my diologue choices now are limited to asking about any stories she has from when she was a ministrel. I already talked to her about the..ahem forbidden fruit(love that line and her reaction should to attempt to use it in real life...and probably get slapped) and alas the question that initiates her quest wont appear either I do know she is in love with my pc I have played through enough times to recognize this however the fac that this time (when I am trying to complete as much of the game as possible) I cannot complete the romance sub plot or her quest because of some bug and well it vexes me (why doesn't anyone use that word anymore?)

You MUST talk to her about bard's from Orlais being spies to initiate her quest.  Once you do, leave camp, come back and she will admit something to you.  At this point you will need to travel with her in your party, eventually you will get ambushed, which will start her quest.  Finish her quest in Denerim, go back to camp and talk to her, eventually you will be able to ask her about the outcome of her quest.  Here it is important to respond correctly, you will need to ask her if she is upset about a certain person (can't say due to possible spoilers).  Then ask her if that person was special to her, then reply that you hope one day to be that special to her.  And bingo, she tells you that she loves you and invites you to her tent.  I had to dump her in order to get the Orlais spy discussion back available to me, if you let her down gently, you will still have enough positive influence for her not to leave the party.

That option isn't even appearing as a diologue choice.  Its not like I haven't romanced her or went on her quest in other play throughs because I have its just that in this playthrough where I am actually going for as much completion as possible I am not even getting the option to initiate the quest the diologue choice obout mentioning that orlesian bards where sometimes spies isn't even coming up as a diologue choice THAT is the problem as well as Leliana not initiating the final phase of the romance subplot meanwhile I have done everything that I did in previous playthroughs to get these things they just arent appearing it has nothing to do with me making the wrong choices because this is my fifth or forth(can't remember which) and I as sad as this is to admit practically memorized what needed to be done on top of that I have the strategy guide and cheked and I  did everything I was suppossed to the options are just not appearing in diologue.  And not to sound snippy I would appriciate if someone had news or a means to help not tell me something I already know.  Once again I apologize for my rudness I am just agrivated I can't complete something that I did on less thorough playthroughs.

I did it and easily. Heres how: *SPOILERS*





- Answered all questions nicely at first, listened to all her stories, answered maker is good etc etc, i agree with her wacky ideas etc.



Once you are of reasonable level she will tell you about her history. Then following that you get a random encounter of people wanting to kill her.



Interrogate the person and let him go. You know get her quest.



Speak to leilana in camp about her mother, then give her andrastes grace flowers. At some time in camp you get a Leliana instant cutscene. Say sweet things to her and kiss her when you get the option. You can then always kiss.



Go to Orzammar and wait until she says she likes nugs. Speak to idle dwarf in lower town to get it.



Do the dalish quests and leiliana will chat some more and sing.



Give her more chantry items. Then go and do the quest with her.



You can speak to her, hardening her up or keeping her soft, and have sex after this.

I've waited till her rating was over 80 did all her questions but after the first 3 that's it, any time I talk to her it comes up" never mind" the only thing I haven't given her is the nug. I've never gotten anyother dialogue after she talks about shoes and her mother flowers. Is there a certain place you ask about her being a Bard or was that at camp

Don't know what to say, I've managed to successfully compete the "quest", did you pick an errant dialogue option that put you down the "we can be friends" path?

I usually have to back off cause I hit on her to hard, wanted to go after the queen with my human female than suddenly oops, in the sack with leliana. Then I fell bad with the " it's not you, it's me " part.

You just have to work on her and keep pushing anything having to do with her being a bard first whenever anything like that becomes available.

If you use straight gifts (or console codes) to get her approval up, you can't do it because you miss the key conversation that occurs around 75 approval rating.

If no one mentioned it, I read on another post (but I can't confirm this) that you have to do her mini quest before you romance her. So keep her disposition relatively low and keep talking about bards being spies. Then when she tells you about Marjolene (or whatever) take her out and get ambushed and follow on the quest. When that's all done you should be free to put her disposition up and romance away.



I believe the key dialog is when she tells you she likes how you wear your hair (just female maybe). I don't know what to do if you get the hair dialog before she tells you about Marjolene.



I stuffed this up too. I don't know why they made this so tricky, but oh well it gives me something to look forward to when I play again.

The hair comment is for women only and I cant remember what she uses for males.

There's a known bug with the Leliana romance, if you don't talk her up before giving her abunch of gifts. (Try to get to the dialogue with "So i heard bards are often spies" before you give her gifts.) She'll bug out and you'll never be able to do her personal quest... and the only way to sleep with her is to get her to like 100% and also do her personal quest.

It happened to me before and I decided to romance morrigan instead after I found out about the bug.

Morrigan will not let me dump her so i can romance Leliana i only went with Morrigan for achievement ><
