Seemingly random situation.

When Shepard first appears when using an imported (ME2 or ME3) game, Shepard's shirt sometimes has red streaks on it and Shepard's elbows look extra dirty. This continues throughout the intro. Other times, it happens appropriately after the landing of the Reapers.

I did a test just now.
  • I started an import, then Alt+F4 out of the game after seeing Shepard for a small bit.
  • I restarted the game and Resumed which began the entire intro sequence from "Electronic Arts Presents".
  • Shepard's shirt was still clean. I Alt-F4 again.

Anyone else getting this strange behavior?

I have not had this happen with non-import "careers".

Figured out where the bug is:

Whether or not the autosave has already kicked in determines whether Shepard's flagged for bloody shirt (which is only supposed to happen after the Reaper landing). If it loads the Chapter Save instead of the Autosave, Shepard's clothes are always fine. The stage of the autosave during the intro also determines how bad is the condition of Shepard's shirt.

So, this really only happens if someone exits during the intro and resumes using the autosave instead of the Restart mission save. The game will default to the latest save.
