Mike Gamble's tweet today fills me with hope and optimism about the Extended Cut.

For example "Lots" could mean anything just like the collector base choice made a "huge" impact on the story according to a tweet.
The VO work could all be mouth performed fart noises. What it is used for is not clear. It could be more god child raping the story and lore of Mass Effect with every word.

I have faith in the Extended Cut.
They wouldn't attempt to waste time and resources if they didn't think it would settle the ending controversy.

The only way I can see that they'd need more gameplay is if they were implementing IT.
I think more gameplay could definitely take some of the stink off it.

Michael Gamble? He used to eat flies you know, in my cycle.
I thought he ate dung beetles.
Oh my mistake, alotta bull**** on this line.
Poor Cassey, doomed to be remembered not for his superior air, rampent smugness or great hair, but for the way his name contains a word that means butt.

If you say so. What other stuff would you like to shoot in the final mission? Or would you like to shoot the same stuff in different ways?
Just snarking a bit because I don't see any real differernce between final mission gameplay and any other ME3 gameplay.

Ah, yes, hope and optimism... We have dismissed that claim.
You know, I used to be a Mass Effect fan like you, but then I took an ending to the heart!
I want to hope, I really do. I've loved the whole series, and if I had any real hope that we might get a better ending with some real closure, I'd start another character to run through all three. I would have bought all the DLCs, and maybe even the N7 hoodie. When I finished my first game with my renegade Shep, my first thought was, "Oh yeah, I really want to pay for DLC so I can see what other adventure my dead character had." As it is now, I'll probably start another Skyrim game instead.

I personally think having assets fight alongside you proper, ala what was done in DA:O, would have gone a long way...
YMMV, ofc.

I don't think that would work too well in actual combat -- would we actually see much of them? DA:O had a high camera view where you could see the whole battlefield.
Cutscenes are another matter.

The new dialogues could just be that old guy, star child and the reaper child talking ****.
"HOW MANY REAPERS DOES IT TAKE TO KILL COMMANDER SHEPARD? SIX-HUNDRED ONE. SIX-HUNDRED TO DESTROY HER GALACTIC ARMADA. ONE TO TALK HER INTO COMMITTING SUICIDE."
"OH, THEY SAID THEY'D BUILD A GUN THAT SHOOTS THRESHER MAWS? WE'LL BUILD A GUN THAT SHOOTS GOD CHILDREN."
"A SHEPARD AND A GOD CHILD WALK INTO A BAR. THE EARTH EXPLODES. NEW CLARIFICATION DLC AVAILABLE LATER THIS SUMMER."
