Hi to all.

I have been playing ME3 multiplayer for a month and have generally enjoyed the exerience, not withstanding server problems.

My N7 number is in the 700's. I have been surviving silver challenges, although not yet on all locations or all enemies.

I would like to engage in a more strategic team run through. This does not always happen with random players. Main disatisfaction, the squad takes up a good defensive position and is picking away nicely at the baddies, then one squady bails out to get kills away from squad. A nice phantom comes in from the now open door and picks off the team.

I will get a mic to enable talking with squad mates. Any good buys re that would be appreciated.Image IPB

Some questions:

Are you from PC?
Do you play gold?
Which classes do you usually use?
Which Weapons?

What type of player are you?

I ask all those questions because you didn't give us information about your playstyle and N7 is meaningless :P

OP: I'm sorry but if ONE single phantom takes two team-mates and you down you're doing something wrong.

You should be able to kill ONE phantom.

Also: lordshenlong: if this is the type of player a supposed "good players" group wants their hands on then I dread to think what half your friends list is like...

I excuse, but sudden Phantom can strike the life out of you in seconds. And i wouldn't judge people by one failed match.
I had terribad fails, and sometimes i'm just unaware enough to die. So, look at my sig, am i bad player? :\\

Not at all, infact I've heard you are very good from others here... however reading the OP it suggests the phantom in question was not suddenly attacking, rather "picking off" which sounds like it took its time systematically killing all three.  at least one of them should have taken it down.

Situational awareness is also a big factor, everybody can and will lose focus now and again but there is a difference in having a phantom sneak up and insta gib you and having it casually stroll in picking people off.

1 is a bad mistake the other is just stupid.

Fair points. Just to clarify i was not suggesting that i cannot kill a phantom, this was just an example of a breakdown in teamwork and comms in a match.

In answer to the query: PC, tjcdodger, all characters on bronze, tending to play adept/vanguard or infiltrator on silver. With silver characters weapons usually a pistol with machine gun back up. On bronze close quarters or range attacks, although when playing silver I have tended to keep mid distance and only close toe to toe when cornered. Not yet played gold. I would prefer to get into friends team and take advice.

No, Phantoms can kill even the best players. Phantom on gold blows through 90% of my kroguards armor in one shot and only 2-3 more will kill me. It's easy to get away, but if one other player goes down and you get flanked, anyone is vulnerable to phantoms.

That's why the OP wants a good team. If he sucks, then he'll only learn by watching those that don't suck. Thats how i learned how to take down reapers on gold really, i joined a pub server and was lucky enough to be in a group of good players. Watching can be the best form of learning.

"Not yet played gold."

Now level to 20, get some class you're good with and show those Gold bastards hell. And for the love of god don't care about score.

The Legion consists of the people who posted in the "Tired of bad teams on tired & gold?" thread. Many of us only moved on to gold after we joined. It's not a group for the best players around but for those who like to play the game as a team. So even if some of us (me included!) aren't great players, we rarely fail our Gold matches (playing Unknown/Unknown most of the time) because we work together and don't run off in different directions as soon as the game starts.

Just throwing this out there but Bronze Effect is also an option as a players group. We're more of a casual gamers bunch but we also play silver/gold. Give our group a visit if you're interested (link in the banner in my sig).
