Just got through Grissom Academy with Javik and Garrus...
But I don't know who to roll with? I'm definetley keeping Garrus so it's between Liara and Javik.
I like having Javik around because he's a badass, and he's Prothean.
Liara seems a bit more useful though...
Help anyone?
Insanity Soldier Squad?

Garrus and Liara are very good together. I recommend Liara if you only have one biotic because of her skillset and fast cooldowns.

I am currently playing my 3rd playthrough as soldier on insanity. Like you, I'am also using a soldier squad configuration with garrus and ashley.
Both are excellent DPS with assault rifle and sniper. Their ammo configuration is interesting as well and balanced too:
- Disruptor ammo (Ash)
- Shredder ammo (Garrus)
- Fire ammo (Shepard)
When you need more firepower against a certain type of defense, you can always switch your ammo power (Fire ammo against armor, Disruptor ammo against shied and barrier).
For weapons, I just give them Revenant 5 with piercing mod. Just let them lose and watch them kill everything.

Can depend on the mission. Javik/Kaidan is probably the best squad independent of enemy type.
But seriously, just pick the squadmates that have the best lines, since Shepard can beat Insanity by herself.

I agree with Agent_Dark_ - it doesn't really matter.
Choose anyone who fits your gameplay style, tactics, armour kit, weapon selection and powers layout. All team-mates could die easily or survive quite challenging odds. I beat game muptiple times with different team-mates combo, so "take your pick".

That's true, insane is damn too easy. However, I had harder times with my soldier than my adept and infiltrator.

Don't play with Incendiary explosive ammo, it'll be a bit more difficult.

Khaydarin135, is so right I used the same squad with my soldier,on the earth mission and equiped everyone with a Revvy, just burn thur Brutes like you wouldn't believe only time they really had trouble was with banshees, dealing with them one at a time was ok but more than one overtook them if they got up close and were killing other reaper forces. . . .but its a great squad choice all in all

To me the Adept and Sentinel classes are to god like now its just no challenge, with all the combo s you can do and the super fast recharge time of powers, but hey thats just me maybe
