I just loved his accent.
He should be the ship's cook! +1

I found him boring and annoying.
If we must have an Indian it should be a young boy, something like from Indiana Jones.
Not as annoying as a full grown person but still annoying.

He was the husband of a marine on Eden Prime, you could either help him get her body from Alliance custody, or let them keep it for research into Geth weaponry (or something). People thought something would come out of the latter but hey, it didn't. Surprise.

DLC - Ship's aroma.

The Normandy now smells like curry and the crew will comment on it.

To the OP, there could have been more representation of most cultures.

I kind of hoped Samantha Traynor was of Indian descent. Her ethnicity is never mentioned and I know there's a decent Indian population in the UK.

That got resolved in mass effect 2 via a alliance news soundbite.

Traynor might have a posh british accent, but she's certainly of Indian descent.

Revelation explains why he doesn't have an accent.  *pulls out my book*:

"The file showed Anderson had been born and raised in London, but he had almost no discernible regional accent.  His generic dialect was likely the product of cross-cultural exposure through e-schooling and the info nets combined with a steady barrage of pan-global entertainment vids and music."

Really? Really?
They couldn't just say he was born in London and his family moved soon after or something?

Nope, since they say that he grew up in London. Though they should have said that his family lived on an American army base in the UK or something like that...

You know what born and raised means? RAISED doesn't mean rising from a grave in this case, it means grew up. You had a better case that after being raised in London he relocated for college, job, etc and lost his accent. I've come to realize you can't seem to understand anything lol

I also roleplayed my favorite Shepard as being of Indian decent (South Indian, to be specific).  I named her after my Indian grandma too.  Thulasi Shepard ^_^

Because the book totally says that. Oh wait, it doesn't. It seems in your eagerness to troll you've delivered a one-two punch to the writers you're defending.

I'm pretty sure she meant that Revelation gave an unnecessarily complicated reason for Anderson not having a British accent.

i.e. Just having Anderson born in London and moving later would have worked just fine to explain it.

That's pretty much it. I just don't see the need for such a convoluted justification.
