Do I Need to continue? What is the point of complaining because there is only ONE guy of Indian decent? This is a Canadian game it is normal that nearly everyone in the game is portrayed as either Canadian or American
This sort of thing is plain ridiculous...

This complaint is so refreshingly trivial. I like it. This seems like the kind of thread I would've seen more of if the endings had been good.
I just realized it too

I'm sure Samantha Traynor is at least partially of Indian decent.
Also the Systems Alliance Prime Minister's last name is Shastri. I'm pretty sure that's an Indian last name.
And of course Aishwarya Ashland has an Indian first name so I guess the Ashland family is part Indian.
And Hendel Mitra is part Indian and part Nordic.
Oh yeah forgot Patel who was a crew member in Mass Effect 2.
I think Indians are way more common then most other nationalities in the Mass Effect series. (Not that I'm complaining infact I think it's a good thing because it makes it realistic.)
It may be because Canada has so many Indians. There are about 5 times more Indians per capita in Canada then the US. So many Bioware employees must either be Indian or have Indian friends and so Indians are in their consiousness when they make Mass Effect.

I just loved his accent.
He should be the ship's cook! +1
DLC - Ship's aroma.
The Normandy now smells like curry and the crew will comment on it.
To the OP, there could have been more representation of most cultures.
"The invading Banshee assassin grabbed Bhatia by the scruff of his chefs uniform ready to impale him there and then! As a last resort he grabbed the Curry Casserole left simmering on the stove and threw all it's content into the face of the shrieking Banshee - who shortly after imploded into a neat pile of Banshee dust."
War asset unlocked: Curry coated projectiles. "I love the smell of Curry in the morning". The reapers won't see it coming, but they sure will smell it.

Most of you are probably referring to an English accent, specifically Queen's English.

Samantha Traynor = Mel B. or Marsha Thomason.

Yes, he was and before you ask why he does not have an accent..
Keith David is a great voice actor but just try to imagine doing any kind of British accent... it will be the laugh you have all day.

what is a little silly is that every race speaks english.
Deep dive the secondary codex.
Technology: Translation
Human cultures remain linguistically divided. Some converse in Spanish, others in Mandarin, Arabic, Swahili, etc. Every alien race has their own equally broad panoply of languages and dialects.
Most individuals know only their mother tongue, and rely on machine translation. Modern portable computers allow anyone with a few hundred credits of equipment to enjoy seamless real-time translation of alien languages, courtesy of handheld PDAs, computers in clothing or jewelry, or sub-dermal implants. Without fast and accurate translation, galactic trade and culture would not exist.
Governments provide subsidized software, updated through the public extranet "on the fly", often as users approach spaceport customs facilities. Even the batarians, who isolated themselves from galactic society nearly two decades ago, take pains to provide up-to-date glossaries and linguistic rules, though most suspect that this is only so they can continue exporting propaganda.
It is still considered broad-minded and practical to be able to speak without machine aid. Children often take courses in alien language, and most races can speak the simplified artificial "trade tongue" with little difficulty.
Some species must rely on machine translation to interact with the rest of the galaxy. Hanar, for example, cannot reproduce the spoken language of any humanoid species, and other races cannot reproduce hanar bioluminescence without mechanical aid. Newly discovered or obscure races don't have machine translation available until the linguists have had time to study them.

It's a different world. Besides, what if he was an "army brat"? He could have grown up around North Americans while in London.
