I disagree, characters are who they need to be, if can only justify their existance because they are a minority group, you are no better than the "racists" that excluded them. You divide by race, I divide by content of character.

All we get is Samesh Bhatia... what a cool dude! We need more of this guy! Petition for him to be in a squadmate DLC!!!
I'm from India, and it was interesting to see Samesh Bhatia in the game, also a crew member in the crew quarters is of Indian decent. But hey, Bhatia's accent was waayyy too exaggerated, too stereotypical. Thats how I speak when I'm trying to make fun of my own people's accent

Speak for yourself, because I'm not a troll.
This whole movement is tearing our world apart. It's already brought the U.S. to it's knees...
But I suppose this isn't the place for that.

Germans
Chinese
Swedish
Irish
Scottish
Welsh
African (aside from Javik Oo_oO)
Mexican
Lithuanians
Polish
I can go on, though I suspect the reasons we don't see that many different races are three fold.
It would seem contrived to keep running into different races with no majorities or patterns
They only have so many VAs
Sheppard is north American so any foreign chatter is just translated into his language and his accent.

Mexican = Vega (yes, he was played by a PR, but I'm pretty sure he was Mexican), MAYBE Cortez.
Chinese = seriously? Emily Wong (RIP). But there was also Kai Leng
African = Donovan Hock...yes him. Afrikans.
Scottish = ....REALLY? Ken?!

They didn't have a soccer scene in ME3; no need for a Brazilian character in there.
Oh wait, Vega fights Shepard. Vega is Hispanic and slips in a Spanish word every now and then, so consider the entire southern hemisphere covered when it comes to representation. Really. That's more than you get in most games.
Same thing with Native Americans. Javik reps hunter-gatherers with his magical tracking abilities.

And Anderson doesn't sound British.
But back to Kai Leng...
Quote: "He is described as being Earth-born with features that show his dominant Chinese heritage"
That's from the Wikia. Likely it comes from the books, but as I never read them, I'd have to buy them to find the exact page/line.

Vega comments about husks in newyork so I assumed he was just hispanic american and cortez seems to be a mixture or colony born.
Emily, once again is of asian/chinese decent but I'm going to assume with a name like Emily she's not actually from china/ a chinese colony
Donovan was Afrikaner...a germanic ethnicity when I said african I meant nigerian, somali, that kind of thing.
Ken....yeah I just forgot though I suspect he was just a shout out to our most durable redshirt.

Depends. Most of my mainland Chinese friends have an English name and their Chinese name, "Emily" included. Perhaps the tradition simply carried on?

Perhaps but she dosen't seem to have an epicanthal fold and her skin tone seems a bit off (though that may be engine limitations/lazy design) so at a rough guess I doubt she's entirely Chinese either

At least we did not got a Blanka as brazilian representative (altought Blanka is cool).
About soccer, in any of the games the Codex says something about sport in XXII century Earth or even for alien races?

I know plenty of people of Chinese descent who don't have a thick accent. But most of them of 3rd and 4th generation Americans. They speak in a General American accent.
Kai Leng could have been born and raised in the UNAS or off-world colony.

Could be. Or Pakistani, the population is fairly large in the UK too.

Cerberus Daily News has some articles relating to sporting events. Check 'em out. They are a good read.
