Your library must be tiny.
I can't think of a single artist besides maybe Rebecca Black who doesn't have at least one sad or "bad" song.
ANd with her I'm using the term artist very loosely. LOL

I don't even have to listen to what you do to already be bored of it.

I find it most amusing--ah, never mind.
I believe I gave the wrong impression. I don't just listen to "happy songs." I don't dislike "sad" songs. I dislike songs that are about hurting people.
One of my favorite bands is Breaking Benjamin, who has tons and tons of sad songs. Those are some songs I listen to. Another similar one is Red, with a bit of a brighter outlook in life.
Again, I think I said it incorrectly: I dislike songs that are about hurtning other people, about causing them pain. That kind of stuff.

That's just it though, simply not liking something isn't a vialble excuse to write it off as a genre of music entirely. There are a lot of great songs with powerful messages that involve violence towards others or violence towards themselves. It's healthy to explore your mind and emotions, and that includes emotions we don't find pleasant.
Here's a good example of someone harming themselves that has a powerful message behind it
