I'm curious to know if there's a Monster Manual entry for those creatures whose tentacles reach into the air outside of the Sunken City.  The toolset just says "sea monster".

I suspect it was just eye-candy created for MotB.

Well, if nothing else, I can use it for that same purpose, but I was hoping there would be a little background info I could work into the module.

You could always use it as part of a darktentacles:

Hm, yes. That gives me ideas. If it has no official identification, I'll use it as you suggest.

I've never seen any reference to anything even remotely like that beastie in the monster manual - but then I'm a confirmed 1st edition aD&D devotee & just presumed that like Bladelings & that weird Gray Render thing - there's something about that creature's description that just seems 'wrong' somehow.

On the other hand, the 'sea monster' made a great alternative to a giant octopus to use in my conversion of goldenspire!

Cly.
