Unless you actively plan on killing something, owning a mass amount of weapons just maeks you come off as a lunatic.

Now, now I'm sure most of them are just very insecure people on a power trip. That's neurotic at most.

Do I own any guns? No.

I'm a melee weapon guy. My only ranged weapon is a bow(w arrows).

I own many swords, a short sword, daggers of all different kinds.

I train with all of them. Have to, being a Prince.

I plan to acquire a war hammer in the future. Will train with that as well(as its something I'm not used to-I prefer shorter faster weapons).

I have entertained the idea of owning a firearm, though the hell I'd have to go through to acquire and keep one throw my desire by the wayside.

I'm not a clown, and this isn't a circus. I'm not about to jump through hoops just to own a gun when I can accomplish the same end goal(if the need arises) by getting in close and using one of the myriad of weapons I already own and practice with.

...Or someone who likes to collect guns.

Unless you're collecting them to put deactivated guns on display as a piece of history or something, that's one thing. But if you're collecting active weapons with the intent of "protecting" yourself from some enigmatic danger, more than one makes you a creepy person. As for knives, they can't be deactivated, so you just look like a Deadpool reject.

I love how you state your opinions as fact all the time. Such smugness.

Or maybe some people just have fun shooting guns? Or is that not allowed?

Some folks are simply afraid of firearms, there's no shame in that.

They're called hoplophobes.

They're much better off playing with make believe weapons in a simulated world.

Hmm I will have to start calling them this *golf claps*

Oh well as to Firearms, I have an AKM, Two Mosin Nagants one sniper, one M44. Oh yeah and a Savage Arms 22 lr. A number of bladed weapons, go into detail on that later, else I start causing some here to wet there pants what with me obviously being a danger to such fine society.

Oh! This is a fun game! Let me try one:

Some folks think firearms are super cool, there's no shame in that.

I hope to someday own an Boltgun or a Chainsword. Perhaps even a Copy of Frostmourne. My greatest desire is to have a custom forged suit of Astartes Terminator Armor. I also covet the Necron Gauss Flayers.

We shoud all take a page out of your book and preface each statement with "my opinion is." Because that's what you do, correct? Only someone who's inept on the spoken word would have no idea that we're all stating opinions. Such ineptitude.

I find it interesting that someone can play violent games yet be so afraid of "weapons" in real life.

Well pardon me for mistaking such a "fine" citizen for a Smug Sob. But oh well, don't like it? I suggest clicking the link in my sig.  Thats the only reaction you'll get out of me this point onwards.

It's fantasy, not an exact outlet for inner thoughts or desires. At least not for me. Besides, I don't feel the need to "protect" myself in such a fashion. If you're the type of person to think danger is lurking around every corner and something might happen someday in some way, then most of those things are useless. Unless you're carrying a gun or a knife with you at all times all hours of the day, then chances are you'll be unarmed when the prophesied altercation takes place.

Mostly it involves running and a lot of girlish screaming along with some whimpering. Now after seeing that arsenal that's become plan 'B'. Plan 'A'? Hide behind Garrus.

Guns can be used for more than just crime and self-defense (which too often seem to get mixed up in the U.S. "justice" system), y'know. Hunting and target shooting can both be damn good fun - there's nothing like blowing up water jugs with a 12 gauge and picking off empty cans with a good ol' lever action rifle.
