Its rare that I'll let someone lie in a pool of their own blood/hydraulic fluid, but I can't say that it hasn't happened.

I make it a point to leave vanguards to bleed out when they spend the whole time in the middle of all the enemies on the other side of the map, while the rest of the team is setup in the normal positions on White

Did a geth/fbw game back during the Exorcist challenge.

Had a turian sentinel, level 400+. Running with default class weapons (avenger and katana). He ran up to the top area where everyone snipes from on bronze, while we were downstairs. He got a decent amount of points just from everything coming at him, but other than one guy who tried the first round to get him up, we just ignored him while we finished the game.

I try to get everyone only if its safe. But that is more than what could be said about some people I have run into, they let me bleed out I was about 20 feet away, and no one seemed to even make an attempt. I did think man next time they go down I am going to dance on them... But I am too soft and got them anyways.

If the person continuously returns to an area with no strategic value or one of the areas widely regarded as the worst points on the map to hold out and dies several times a round there I will not bother. If they learn their lesson and return to the group (ha!), I'll revive them the second they go down.

If someone who wasn't making an effort to get to a hack circle dies outside of it, they can shove their medigel up their ass, because I'm sure as hell not going to consider caring about reviving them.

That said, if an Infiltrator dies on the other side of the map trying to complete an objective (ex: He's stayed with the team/covered our flank so far, but heads out for that one assassination target who won't leave the building or gets downed on a 4 objective one), I'll do my best to get to them.

Randoms are like Salarian Decoys that shoot back, why would you kill your bait? Also revive medals are worth quite a bit of XP.

I felt so bad today. I was on my way to revive someone....I took cover to take out the surrounding bad guys and I guess my ADD kicked in since the person was behind me at that point and I just forgot and he bled out. I don't use a mic but when the new wave started, he threw a warp at my head. I deserved it.

Always revive when possible... it strengthens the team play, except in Maria's case where the soldier was messing up the game by being alive.

Sometimes I intentionally let them bleed out. Not because I'm not a teamplayer but because they need to learn. Particularly vanguards.

I will. They draw enemy fire. The distraction of the enemy can aid me. The added combined firepower can help kill tougher enemies. Since there is no friendly-fire, there is nothing the player can do to make things worse than being a man down.

I always try and Revive, but most of the time someone else get there first; or I get there and using spacebar (PC) doesn't actually work so I just stand there like I forgot what was happening. Sometimes gets me killed D:

Got abused the other day since I cloaked and ran to revive a teamate who had some Marauders around him, but I think the other survivor was actually behind me thus as they shot at him, they shot into me and downed me.

"OMG you've got Hunter Vision how could you not see them?!" he cries, while I stare blankly. No **** I saw them, given I ran right at them while cloaked, only to get mysteriously shot. He didn't even attempt to revive the guy.

The only time I've intentionally let someone bleed out was to get the point across to my boyfriend that complaining about not getting res's under impossible circumstances IS NOT COOL ™. He pretty much finally got the hint after I also told him, "Complain less and I'll res you if it's possible." The next time he died he was much more polite about the situation, and I res'd him.

I only revive people who stick with the team and go for the objectives unless there is an infiltrator doing the 4 thingies objective.

But if I see that someone keeps dying like an idiot, like not taking cover, etc, I just let them bleed out and I even tell others on the mic not to bother reviving that baddie.

I'm usually a revive-aholic but there is this new trend with idiots who have been doing fbw/g/g for so long (or just learned how) they are now doing it in silver matches. 3 times this week I've gotten someone who runs down and tries to camp the bottom room by themselves refusing to come out and help the team, then ends up gettting overrun every wave. Not only will I not revive them, I may run down there and keep circling there body until they die.

I never revive teammates unless they're right next to me. I learned early on that every time i try to revive a teammate I get killed. So now I figure if they went down they're in a place I don't need to be.

Camping down there is smart on bronze silver or gold.  Staying up by the landing pad (like most people insist on doing) is totally STUPID! Staying out in the open anywhere in this game is totally stupid!  Walls are your friends! Cover is good!  Just like all the retards that insist on staying out in the open on Giant & Ghost. When you go down out in the open I'm not leaving the safety of the buildings to save your stupid ass.

Only if reviving them would endanger the team (i.e. some idiot who gets downed halfway across the map from the rest of the team).

No, because I'm not an entitled child nor do I hold grudges. I am here to ensure everyone has equal fun. I do not care if you are bad or good at the game. This is not competitive, there is no CAL, and we all paid 60USD.

Ah the incorrect usage of the word "entitled" how refreshingly common this has become.

Yes, I will let a team-mate bleed out if they deserve to bleed out or become a liability to otherwise sound team-mates who will still try to revive them. In fact I have started and stopped revives to effectively block another team-mate from reviving someone before.

If they're on the other side of the map, yeah I usually won't make the effort.

But if I know I can get the revive, I do. Even if they suck horribly, at least it's one more warm body for the Banshees to chase instead of me.

I have no problem returning the favor, that goes both ways, if you stand over my dying corps and let me die because you think I'm not worth reviving expect the same treatment back, if you revive me time over time again I'll do my best to return the favor.
sooner or later the situation will reverse.

If I know I can easily revive them?

Hell no. I will revive any teammate right away, if such is the case. Even a bad teammate tends to get a kill or two- the faster we get through the wave, the better. Plus, they draw a little enemy fire off of me. If they're just plain bad, or even if they're a big jerk, that still doesn't mean I'm going to ignore them and risk the mission out of spite.

But again- that's if I can EASILY revive them.

Depends on the situation. Were you in the hack circle? No? Off doing your own thing? Bleed out when you inevitably go down. People can't seem to get it in their thick skulls that with all 4 people in the circle, the faster the hack goes, the faster we get done, so enemies stop spawning and we can concentrate on surviving the wave. Same goes for the LZ. When time gets short, get in the circle. I'm not risking my ass to save yours on the other side of the damned map.

Yeah.  When someone stalls and votes to kick me before the game, then they wind up going down 3 times before wave 5, I'm probably not going to make the effort to clear out the guys that are about to stomp on them.  Especially when they're bringing up the rear in score and running out by themselves.

Also as mentioned, as an infiltrator if someone's following me and attracting aggro during the 4-disable mission, it's best to let them die if they don't listen.  They're jeopardizing the game more by doing that than dying.  Priorities...

In most cases though, I do go out of my way to revive people even when I really shouldn't be.  Somehow I tend to make it out alive more often than not, despite my better judgement telling me otherwise.
