Simple: a list of all the fanfic that we like. Submit your own, or ones you like! Stories, comics, animation…

English is predominant, but other languages are OK too. Haven’t quite decided on organization yet…depending on the volume, perhaps additional lists per language will do.

This thread is not meant for continuous advertising or long discussions on particular works. It’s best if separate threads are opened for the story for those purposes.

Submissions:

You need to include a link, title, author’s name, main characters, rating (K+/T/M), genre, length and completion status, and a description.

The third post contains a list of Shepard w/o LIs, OC stories, and stories w/o Shepard, Self-Inserts, with Various leading characters, and foreign-language works. If a character is missing, I will add them when you submit.

  • Mass Effect Elsewhere by Man Under Mask. MShep/Ashley (K+, adventure, short, ongoing). Liara's time capsule from 2186 is punted back in time, landing on Eden Prime in 2183, changing the entire history of the Mass Effect universe.

  • “Gabby and Ken” by JoeLaTurkey: Gabby/Ken (T, romance/humor, long, completed). Will the Normandy's favourite double-act ever realise their potential as a couple? Let's find out.
• Garrus
  • Bullet in the Brain - Femshep/Garrus (M). Cerberus implanted more than just cybernetics into Garrus after he was hit by that missile. Warning: issues of consent.
  • The Shepard Code - Femshep/Garrus (T, romance/tragedy, short). After choosing the control ending, Shepard is uploaded as an AI into the Reapers. One hundred years later, Garrus' grandson finds her. Ending fix. Also, warning, it might make you bawl like a baby.
  • Commander Shepard, You've Got Mail and the interlude, The Heart Asks for Pleasure First - Femshep/Garrus (K+and T respectively, friendship/romance, long). The first is the email conversations between Shep and Garrus after they defeat Saren, the latter takes place during their Christmas shore leave spent together.
  • Improved Relations - Femshep/Garrus (MA, romance/humour, short). The Council manages to rope Garrus and Shepard into improving relations between turians and humans. So of course they decide to make an educational sex video!
  • I Waited - Femshep/Garrus (T, romance/tragedy, short).
  • The Hundred Year Distance - Femshep/Garrus (T, romance/tragedy, short). Garrus and Shepard have lived a long life together, but it's coming to an end.
  • Letters from the Brig - Femshep/Garrus (M, romance, long). With help from the Shadow Broker, Shepard and Garrus exchange hand-written letters while she's locked up on Earth.
  • Violence, Voyeurism, and Vigilantes - Femshep/Garrus (M, romance/angst, long).
  • Worth All the World -  Femshep/Garrus (M, friendship/humour, long). AU. Garrus and Shepard meet while she's still in N7 training on the Citadel, and their friendship grows.
  • Interrogation Tactics - Femshep/Garrus (M, romance, short). Garrus has been avoiding Shepard, so she puts his old C-Sec cuffs to good use to find out why. Warning: slightly dub-con.
  • “Mass Effect: We Were Born to Die” by carilynn46: FShep/Garrus (T, romance/drama, long, completed). Was inspired by the ending of the RPG game Mass Effect 3. Instead of working against the ending, I tried to work with it. At first it was just going to be a short scene of the conclusion of the Destroy Good Ending (the current prologue) but then after some encouragement and listening to a song that not only inspired the title of my story but it also allowed me to continue. The song was Lana Del Rey - Born To Die , and it really made me think of Garrus and Shepard.
  • “The Wait” by KroganVanguard: Garrus/Tali (T, romance/angst, short, completed). Garrus and Tali spend some time together before the final battle for Earth. Garrus/Tali fluff and angst. Set during ME3.

In the chaos of the ongoing First Contact War, the Alliance is contacted by a group of captured humans on Palaven. Shepard is drafted for a covert mission to make contact. Her cover? A captured servant in the Vakarian household.
  • “Sense and Flexibility” by Roarkshop: FShep/Garrus (M, romance/friendship, long, ongoing). The story of Mass Effect developing the friendship, and eventually romance, Of Garrus V. and Femshep. Will cover Mass Effect 1, 2, 3, and after The Reapers. Updated Mondays!

Very dense, with lots of flowery language, but an incredible read. Promises of FemShep/Liara later on.
  • “If It Meant Living From the Beginning” by Graceyn: FShep(/Kaidan) (T/M, adventure/sci-fi, long, ongoing). Covers background in the first two chapters, then picks up the ME1 storyline. Complete through the events of ME2 and continuing through ME3 (currently approaching genophage cure); updated regularly. Kaidan is LI, but pays a lot of attention to and develops all the characters. Several chapters are written from the perspective of someone other than Shepard.
  • “A Rose From Mindoir” by Ecrulis: FShep (M, drama/humor, short, ongoing). A background FanFic for my cannon Shepard Eveline Rose Shepard, Colonist/Ruthless . The story starts out with Shepard at 13 years old living on Mindoir with her parents.
  • “Duet Effect” by Aurora313: MShep, FShep (T, adventure/romance, short, ongoing). Shepards have always looked out for one another ever since their earliest days in Vancouver's criminal underbelly. Over a decade later, that hasn't changed. Eventual M!Shepley, F!Shenko. Written as character's POV.

In 2157, the Turian Hierarchy shocked the Council species by commencing a sudden and illegal war against a new race, known only as 'Humans'. This is the story of Shanxi's 3rd Garrison Division, and their fight for survival, and freedom. First Contact War.
  • “Mass Effect: Going Dark” by Severyx: OC Kevin Folner, mercenary (M, adventure/romance, long, completed). Kevin Folner, a hitman for hire, has had his ups and downs working as a merc. When he learns of a long thought 'dead' mass relay in deep space that has been reactivated by the geth, he and his salarian friends in the information business see credit signs all over it. The trip out will be long, but when the monotony of the deep space trek is broken by an out of place quarian emergency distress call, things take a very interesting turn. What lies beyond that previously inactive relay? Why have the geth taken to it so readily? Kevin aims to find out, and hopefully make enough credits while doing so to be set for life.However, one can never truly be prepared for the things found in the darkest places of the galaxy.
  • “Loving the Alien” by QuantumSheep13: OC (M, sci-fi/adventure, long, completed). A turian mercenary is hired to find a mysterious package and is inadvertently dragged into a war between two rival organizations.

A Turian Spectre is dispatched to a human colony, in what seems like an everyday Batarian raid. However, what he discovers is a conspiracy that propels him into a journey to stop someone he always thought he could trust, and commit atrocities he swore to stop.
  • “The Fall of Khar'shan” by Aaron Baba: OCs Korrak and Mannovai (T, adventure/suspense/action, multipart, ongoing). Taking place about a week before the opening scenes of Mass Effect 3; the story follows Korrak, a member of the Batarian Hegemony's Special Intervention Unit. The science team leading research into the Leviathan of Dis, a great and powerful alien artifact, has gone dark. Now, Korrak has been tasked with recovering them…alone. Korrak must struggle with vague mission parameters, his feelings for the Hegemony, an unexpected ally, and voices creeping at the back of his mind.
  • “Mass Effect: Digression” by Terror_K: OCs (M, sci-fi/adventure, long, completed). A quarian from The Migrant Fleet named Yalo'Pala nar Lerta goes out on his pilgrimage, intending to bring back a gift that will change the quarians forever. An original Mass Effect story surrounding original characters to avoid canon interference. i.e. no Shepard and co.
  • “Mass Effect: Terra Nova” by NickC: OC Richard Miller (T, sci-fi, short, completed?). This is the story of the first years of humanity after the discovery of the Prothean ruins on Mars. We will follow a young man named Richard "Richy" Miller one the very first extrasolar colonists and how he finds a new home on Terra Nova.
  • “Mass Effect: Fallen Soldier” by Enigmat1c: OC (M, sci-fi/adventure, long, ongoing). Following the elimination of the Collector threat, a former Special Forces soldier in cryostasis for thirty-seven years is revived to join Commander Shepard's group and help combat the incoming Reaper invasion.
  • “Kat Like Thief” by Dr_Brilliant: OC Thane, son of MShep/Jack (M, drama/romance, long, ongoing). Son of famous war hero Commander Shepard and the biotic Jack, Thane Shepard has a lot to live up to. This is a coming of age drama/romance focusing on Thane as he attends a new biotic academy. Rated M for language and adult themes. Updates to come, mushy.
  • “Harvest” by Norwest: No main character (K, drama/friendship, short, completed). Oneshot: "Was this the first time a geth asked if it had a soul?" - "No. It was the first time a Creator became frightened when we asked."
  • “The Long March” by Crimsonberzerker: OC, Garrus (M, sci-fi/adventure, long, ongoing). Time passes, and legends fade. What happens when the galaxy doesn't need heroes anymore? Or does it...? Set long after the Reaper defeat. OC's with a few old faces. Please read and review.
  • “Mass Effect: Vengeance” by DKDiamantes: OC Aida (T, sci-fi/tragedy, short, ongoing). Aida is the son of a once famous Turian during the First Contact War. Aida deeply loved and respected everything his father did and had no greater hope than to one day live up to his family name of Vinoir. But all that changed when the Humans made their presence on the Universe felt, all of Aida's dreams and hopes changed when the Humans took the most precious part of Aida's life.
  • “Mass Effect 3: The Last Stand” by Ryuu814: OC (T, adventure, long, completed). We all knew the Reapers were coming but when the invasion started, none of us were prepared for it. 7 Chapters looking into one Special forces soldiers' fight for survival.
  • “Mass Effect: Darkest Hour” by mikern: OC (T, sci-fi/adventure, short, ongoing). Lieutenant James Wolfe is having the worst day of his life when the world decides to end. His girlfriend refused to marry him, his mother has announced that she has an incurable form of Eezo infection and his sister’s mental condition is worsening. When the Reapers land in the city of Philadelphia, he joins the desperate and futile attempt to fight back.
  • Mass Effect: Event Horizon by Drussius: OC/Zaeed (M, sci-fi/adventure, long, ongoing). Happenstance draws the crew of an asari cargo vessel and a band of mercenaries into a fight for their lives during the Reaper siege of Terra Nova. This story explores events occurring at the start of the Reaper invasion, and centers largely around original characters, though some cameos are included.
  • “Synthesis for Little Laura” by Meteoric Test: OC/Zaeed (M, sci-fi/family, complete). An alliance soldier flees his post during the pinnacle of the Reaper/Earth conflict in a desperate attempt to ensure the survival of his sister Laura. Will he succeed? Entirely new/original characters.
  • “Mass Effect: The Unsung Sacrifices” by 3DoorsDownAndAwayFromTheSun: OC, Anderson (M, adventure/angst, short, completed). This is the tale of a squad in the 36th brigade. This is the story of Alliance soldiers as they face the horrors only a war with the Reapers can bring. These are the heroes whose names are never sung.
  • “Mass Effect: Freelancers” by ftkerns: Lia’Vael, OCs (M, sci-fi, long, ongoing). A down-on-her-luck quarian on her Pilgrimage becomes desperate enough to sell herself into indentured servitude and is taken aboard the MSV Sulaco.
  • “The Manswell Incident” by blue-electro: OCs (T, sci-fi/adventure, long, completed). A Mass Effect fanfiction based on a Cerberus News Network newsbit. An asari expedition discovers humans on an uncolonized world. But they are behaving very strange… This takes place in the expanded universe, no Shepard or original cast appears. Set between ME2 and ME3.
  • “Ship of Theseus” by chapa3: OC, Ashley (M, sci-fi/drama, long, ongoing). Set 5 years after the events of ME3, alternate ending. Spectres Anatoly Ilyushin and Ashley Williams hunt for notorious terrorist Balak. Cutting through lies and scandals, the two uncover a truth that could easily spark a galactic war. Cyberpunk themed.
  • “Silent Echoes” by Dark Satris: OC (M, sci-fi/adventure, short, ongoing). Satris Rhakhaza is a bioticly gifted Alliance soldier, with an N7 rating. He is also one of the first Slayers ever. Follow the adventures of him and his Spec-ops team, Echo Squad, nicknamed The Silent Echoes, throughout the Reaper wars, and discover items of their pasts, their lives, and the tight bond that holds them all together.
  • “The Journey” by rebel666: OC (M, romance, long, complete). This story follows Xora Patrone, Captain of the MSV Dolus Bia. When her parents were murdered by a biotic extremist, she dedicated her life to vengeance. But after 12 years, things take a dramatic turn and her whole world goes upside down. Coming across some familiar faces and unexpected truths, she finds herself changing everything for one turian... but was it already too late?
  • “Mass Effect: Interceptor” by Mothbanquet: OC Arlen Kryik, Garrus, Nihlus (T, sci-fi/drama, long, ongoing). A terror threat looms over crucial talks between the Systems Alliance and the Citadel Council. C-Sec recruit Arlen Kryik is partnered with agent Garrus Vakarian to oversee security for the meeting.   • “Salvation” by Jesse De La Rosa: Mshep, Half-Life Crossover (PG/K+, adventure, long, completed). After Gordon Freeman is allegedly killed by the Combine, Earth enters a new technological Golden Age. Until 179 years later, when galactic civilization is threatened once more. A threat that only Earth's two greatest heroes can stop.
  • “Through Dust and Ashes” by Virdu: Naruto-ME crossover (M, adventure/suspense, long, ongoing). The world of the Shinobi is at an end, will the arrival of the first Human Spectre grant them salvation, or is it just the beginning of a new war?
  • “The Mission Stays the Same” by Ursakar: Warhammer-ME crossover, FShep (M, sci-fi/adventure, long, ongoing). A joke of Chaos daemon sent two unlikely allies - an Eldar Farseer and an Imperial Storm trooper, through the Warp and into another Universe. In this place, everything is alien to them. Except for one thing - war. War is something they know very well.
  • “Mass Effect: Green Lantern’s Light” by InHarmsWay: MShep (T, adventure/fantasy, long, completed). Instead of dying, Commander Hal Jordan-Shepard is inducted into the Green Lantern Corp. Here he fights forces that threaten the universe while he hurries to go back home to defend his galaxy against the reapers and Blackest Night.
  • Storm on the Horizon by Failcraft Heroes Society: FShep, 10th Dr. Who (T, Adventure/Sci-Fi, ongoing). The Doctor thought he could do no more harm to the universe. It takes a fresh perspective to show him he is dead wrong.
  • Mass Effect: Clash of Civilizations by: Eterna1Soldier  (T, long, ongoing). In 2157 a Citadel Council exploratory vessel is tasked with opening a dormant Relay into unknown regions of the galaxy. What they find is something they never expected. What happens when two civilizations centered around different technologies clash?
• Self-Inserts (SIs)
  • “Mass Effect: The Outsider” and “Mass Effect: The Guardians” by Sarge1995: SI, MShep/Tali (T, sci-fi/adventure, long, first one completed, second ongoing). We all know SIs are a dime a dozen these days. Question is, what has this one got to offer you that you haven't already seen? Well, who am I to spoil the fun? Open the page...and hold on tight. You're in for a wild ride.
  • “Mass Effect: Far Cry” by Zimek: SI, MShep/Tali (M, sci-fi/adventure, short, ongoing). Self-Insert, Crossover - kind of. Elysium hours before Skyllian Blitz, Arcturus, Eden Prime, Citadel, Reapers... and all that with Massive Dreadnoughts on top. Nothing goes as planned because nothing's ever easy, right?

There’s one thing I’m not quite sure about: it’s easy for everyone to only submit good/interesting reads when submitting others’ writing.

At the same time I really want everyone to be comfortable submitting their own stories…I was originally thinking that we could have a voting system that if someone is submitting their own story, it gets added if at least one BSN’er gives it a thumbs-up (or it already has a favorable review on fanfiction dot net or wherever).

Would that be too much of a barrier, though?

Unless there's a flood of truly horrible entries, then I don't see a reason to require any sort of barrier to entry. We can still have some sort of vote mechanism, but I don't see any advantage in leaving anyone out.

Yeah just post up all the entries you get. It keeps the process from being needlessly complicated, and it's a redundancy you could do without (if someone doesn't like what they're reading, they can just stop reading it, lol)

The first is the email conversations between Shep and Garrus after they defeat Saren, the latter takes place during their Christmas shore leave spent together.

Improved Relations - Femshep/Garrus (MA, romance/humour, short). The Council manages to rope Garrus and Shepard into improving relations between turians and humans. So of course they decide to make an educational sex video!

I Waited - Femshep/Garrus (T, romance/tragedy, short).

The Hundred Year Distance - Femshep/Garrus (T, romance/tragedy, short). Garrus and Shepard have lived a long life together, but it's coming to an end.

Battlefields Much Beloved - (M, romance, short). 

Learning Experiences - Femshep/Saren (M, romance, long). AU. Shepard is under Saren's training, and their relationship develops from mutual dislike to something unexpected.

Marked - Saren + Desolas (K+, family, short). Desolas has facial markings, Saren does not. He discovers the reason why.

Worst Case Scenario - Saren/Femshep/Nihlus (MA, romance/hurt/comfort, long). AU. The three Spectres end up in an unfortunate accident stranding them on an empty planet, and sparks fly.

Supernova - Femshep/Nihlus (M, romance/adventure, long). AU. Before joining the Normandy, Shepard and Nihlus cross paths, and form an unexpected bond.

I'm Watching You - Saren/Nihlus (M, friendship/romance, short). Saren installed video survelliance on his ship, and catches Nihlus in a rather intimate act.

Interrogation Tactics - Femshep/Garrus (M, romance, short). Garrus has been avoiding Shepard, so she puts his old C-Sec cuffs to good use to find out why. Warning: slightly dub-con.

Letters from the Brig - Femshep/Garrus (M, romance, long). With help from the Shadow Broker, Shepard and Garrus exchange hand-written letters while she's locked up on Earth.

Settling Disputes - Femshep/Saren (M, romance, short). Renegade Femshep versus Saren during Spectre training. Has two followup stories.

Violence, Voyeurism, and Vigilantes - Femshep/Garrus (M, romance/angst, long).

Worth All the World -  Femshep/Garrus (M, friendship/humour, long). AU. Garrus and Shepard meet while she's still in N7 training on the Citadel, and their friendship grows.

 My fanart, i hope you´ll enjoyed it Atm am still writing but i am doing it in Word, and am realy pissed off with formating on BioWare forum so it will take some time until new thing went out. 

First story is about Javik, there is plenty of peoples which hate him but for me he is quite interesting and second story is about DLC idea.

I've got two Kaidan fics (The Double which is an AU novelization of ME2 filled with Shenko and shenanigans, and The Swing of Things which explores how Kaidan, Joker, and a few others knew each other before the events of ME1) and a Thane fic called Losing that's angst-filled goodness spanning ME2 and a little after. The first two are on-going and the third finished.

These are the long pieces. I've got a bunch of drabbles and one-shots on my blog, as well but I don't think that's what you're looking for in this list.
