I like Fight for the Lost from LuxDragon.

Is a novelization of ME2. Even if it is a maleShepard/Miranda fic he did justice to all the character in it. Everyone of the squaddies has their good part in it, lots of banter betwen them, no hate for any character, more interaction betwen the crew of the Normandy, etc.

The bad thing is that the story isn't finished and the author hasn't updated his profile, we don't know of his status at all. He was so close to ending it.

Guns and Poems

The headcanon of my canon femshep Kallen Shepard. My canon Male shep Adam is her younger brother in this. The pairings are Femshep/Ashley and Femshep/Miranda. it's a novelization of the trillogy andI'm just getting into Mass Effect 3 and the six months before it. In Mass effect 2 is has an original Story Arc for Ashley that ties into Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival. It's my baby.

Hi there, all! Popped my head into the Fan Creations section and was not disappointed in seeing this fanfic thread already! I'd like to submit my humble writings. I'm only linking my ff.net author page, as adding all 15+ stories individually would be a little much, as well as monopolizing the poor list!

As for a basic description, let me put it this way...every single one of my fics are about my one Paragade femShep. Even the ones that only focus on her still hint at my romance of choice (Kaidan). Most are complete, with my ME3 epilogue being the only currently ongoing installment. All of them are T - M; nothing exceptionally explicit, mostly adult themes.

Seeing as we have a new forum for fan creations and this is the only fanfiction thread at this time, I'll copy and paste my recommendations from another, older thread:

I read quite a lot of fanfiction (although not a ton of ME fanfiction) and I've become quite picky at what I bother to read, often abandoning a fic after a few bad grammatical mistakes, because the fic doesn't have a setting that interests me, or just because a fic doesn't feel right. Moreover, I like long fics (preferably 100,000+ words) which tend to be in the minority for obvious reasons. This is all to say that I browse through a lot of fics but would only recommend a very, very small minority of them.


ravynwriter's (Melaradark's) Dark Energy series is definitely among my recommendations for ME fics. Closing in on 600,000 words, this retelling of the game stories is among the longest fics I've read but that didn't stop me from devouring it over a period of 4 days or so. You know you're pretty much hooked to the story when you're tired and planning to go to bed at 10 PM, but find out that it's 4 AM when you finally drag yourself to bed. The big draws for me have been a surprisingly well-written femShep, an interesting romance (femShep/Liara), and enough deviation from canon to keep the story fresh. The writing is solid throughout and I can overlook the few recurring grammatical mistakes easily enough. Even the fight scenes don't become monotonous, which is no small feat considering the source material. The fics go a bit over the top and stretch believability at times (just like the games) but the fics are just so much fun that I don't mind.

Another author whose fics I want to recommend is sinvraal. She does another retelling of the first two games, this time with the femShep/Kaidan pairing although the romance is once again hardly the only thing going for the story. She focuses on off-camera moments to flesh out the characters in the story and the chapters are from the POV of different characters. However, she doesn't write from Sheppard's point of view, leaving some mystery for the main character and developing her through other people's eyes. In any case, her writing is excellent throughout and she really gets the characters and their voices right.

My final recommendation for now is AssaultSloth's Interstitium. This fic focuses on ME2, told from the viewpoints of numerous different characters. The writing is fantastic and the characterization pretty much perfect. I honestly can't do it justice by trying to review it, suffice to say it's one of the best fics from any fandom I've read. The only real negative I have is that it's a WIP that doesn't progress at a blinding pace, but thankfully it's not abandoned.

Mass Effect: Going Dark (Link here)

This is a long (currently 270k+ words) 'unofficial fan tribute novel', still a work in progress.

This features original characters with short appearances by a few established characters. Sorry, no Shepard interaction. That makes keeping it 'canon' nearly impossible, as I designed this to be canon regardless of how the player played the games. Chronologically, this story begins after LotSB, but before Arrival.

Rated M for violence and a brief scene of sexuality (fade to black style).

Synopsis:
Kevin Folner, a hitman for hire, has had his ups and downs working as a merc. When he learns of a long thought 'dead' mass relay in deep space that has been reactivated by the geth, he and his salarian friends in the information business see credit signs all over it. The trip out will be long, but when the monotony of the deep space trek is broken by an out of place quarian emergency distress call, things take a very interesting turn. What lies beyond that previously inactive relay? Why have the geth taken to it so readily? Kevin aims to find out, and hopefully make enough credits while doing so to be set for life.

However, one can never truly be prepared for the things found in the darkest places of the galaxy.

**I'm desperately in need of feedback of all sorts (positive or negative are both welcome, as long as it has thought behind it), as I'm treating this with the same level of professionalism as if it were an actual book. Hope you guys and gals enjoy it!
