More graphics and sound can be seen below. Just another small sampling. The second tech demo will show off all the non-boss enemies (except occulii, since I'm not sure what I want to do with them yet). And I'm almost done animating and coding them, but I have two remaining groups of enemies to finish, but they're the smallest two groups. In the mean time, I show off the Title Screen and Death Animations
New gameplay demo:
Here's the original tech demo:

Now the sound preview, couple songs, courtesy of Lil One, we have this, a song from a very evil place that you will visit early in the game:

A minor spoiler, at some point, Marauder Shields will enter the Geth consensus, here is the song that will play:

Another Minor spoiler, you fight the Keepers at some point, though the nature of what happens is yet to be revealed, here is the song that plays for that level.

Note that it was uploaded 15 days ago, before episode 26 of the Marauder Shields comic, I guess Koobismo and I have similar ideas. Though I don't know yet as to just how similar.
Then, courtesy of TimmyZiggy, we have the converted ME soundtracks. Nothing from the disgraced ME3 will appear, but there'll be bothe ME1 and ME2 songs, like this one, the occulus fight song:

And then there's Harbingers theme song, we ALL know this one:

More to come as time passes
Yes you read right, Marauder Shields is getting his own video game. Since about mid-April, I've been coding this game using XNA Game Studio 4.0 and the Platformer Starter Kit template. Now that the framework is finished, I am finally ready to announce this.
So what will the gameplay be like? Basically, it's an NES style Contra clone starring Mr. Shields as the protagnonist. It starts on Earth, after Sheperd kills Mr. Shields, he stubbornly refuses to die and seeks to stop the "ending" from occurring. It'll end with Mr. Shields destorying Harbinger, and, if you take a 4th option thereafter, destroying the driving force behind the reapers, the ending, and indeed, all of ME3's problems.
Positions currently filled:
-graphics -> Me, yep, doing the graphics myself
-sound/music -> Lil One
also TimmyZiggy-
co-writers:
MasterMadSkills
Breefolk
Kidd
Ockert Malan
Warrior256
animallover11
blazerer
retu19
Doctor Uburian
For now we are full, a co-programmer for cleaning up my code, and beta testers will be needed. I may have a co-programmer lined up, should he still want the position down the line. Participants need to let me know if you wish to be credited by screen name, or real name.
Story Details:
The game starts out on the battle of Earth. After MS wakes up, he finds that Sheperd walked into the beam, which was actually an indoctrination trap. The catalyst's core computer is on Earth, not the citadel, and he must destroy the catalyst, which will be the game's first boss. From there, it is one satirical joke after another about ME3, and related things. Just a bunch of good humor, and yes it is validating indoctrination theory (even though I myself do not believe in, or favor IT)
NEW DETAILS:
Marauder Shields will be working with the Alliance. Specifically, he will have a lot of contact with Admiral Hackett. How he is able to get Hackett's attention, as well as how it moves along the plot, will be revealed as you play. You will also get to see the Klendagon Cannon in a flashback, as well as the race who built it.
Features:
-Will have exactly 11 levels
-Will include power ups based on Super C, but represented with ME weapons (the specifics of which are to be voted on via public poll later)
-Uses Shields and Health. Health can only be regained by completing the level, but shields can be restored by power up, even after they reach zero.
-A save system
-6 difficulty settings:
--Casual - Can only die by falling into bottomless pits
--Normal - 5 Shields, 5 Health
--Veteran - 3 Shields, 3 Health
--Hardcore - 1 Shields, but 4 Health
--Insanity - 1 Shields, 1 Health
--NES - You die every time you are hit. You also can not save, but instead get 3 continues. Non-random enemies also re-spawn after they leave the screen. This is for us NES era veterans.
--There's also different enemy layouts, and random enemies will spawn differently and more often on the harder settings(with the exception that Casual and Normal will be same on that front, given how enemies are effectively irrelevant on Casual). For instance, only Husks, if anything, will randomly spawn on Casual or Normal, but you may see Cannibals or worse randomly spawn as you go up in difficulty (though nothing with tons of health will do so, even on NES mode).
-But best of all, you won't just be killing husks and **** the whole way, you'll actually get to kick some reaper ass in this one. Not at the start, mind you, but as it progresses, well, you'll see
[b]NEW DETAILS:
Marauder Shields will get to fight actual reapers, although there are always circumstances that allow him to kill them. In one case, later in the game, he will take down a capitol ship using specialized M920-Cains which do not require charging.
And of course there's Harbinger, who you blast with Thanix Cannons. So yes, actual reaper fighting takes place. Not early in the game, mind you, but it will indeed happen. There are a couple more(not counting th destroyer and Hades Cannon bosses), but it's too spoilerish to discuss.
