The party members not under my control like to wander around a bit when I stop my character. I suppose it makes it look more realistic or something. However when I am controlling Varric and he spots a trap, I have had a party member continue to wander right into the trap after Varric stops. Or more frequently, they wander in front of Varric as I am trying to direct him to disarm the trap so I have to change the view so Varric can see the trap again. What is most annoying is the rogue always gives a verbal warning about a trap but no party members ever heed that warning.
What I would like to see in DA3 is all party members freeze when the rogue spots a trap and gives the verbal warning. That is much more realistic than the members continuing to wander right into the trap and much less annoying to the player.

OMG this is so true. The other companions were constantly walking into traps while I was trying to disarm them.
Not even with a purpose, either. Like they were just lazily sauntering into danger just to see my expression when something explosive blew up in my face.

I would appreciate this, I learned to freeze everyone's movement in subsequent playthroughs.
